impact of the mood of the mother on the development

of the baby. If a mother is always stressed and is

tensed then the mother might develop complications

of hypertension that could lead to premature birth of

mother can always be happy that can lead to a healthy

growth and development of the baby.

Read a book of your choice- You can read books on parenting or you can also read a comic. Reading books will help in soothing your nerves. However, you should avoid reading horror stories or stories that have a grave or depressing tone as that can dampen your mood. Reading out loud also helps the developing baby as it is believed that the baby starts to recognize your voice from inside the womb while you read out loud.Watch your favorite movie- If you are a fan of Charlie Chaplin or any other comic series, you can surely watch them and have a laugh riot at your home. In case, you love romantic movies you can watch the as well and have a nice time. Going out on a movie date with your spouse will also help in lighting up your mood. However, take care that you do not watch too serious a movie or a horror film that can depress your mood.

Watch your favorite television series- If you always wanted to catch up on some television series then this is the right time. Do it right now, if it makes you happy. Watch the series of “Friends” over and over again and enjoy some light moments. Do not get bogged down by watching some serious shows like crime series etc. Try and keep it light.Toss up a good meal for yourself- Of course you will have to eat right during the crucial nine months. In addition, you can toss up your favorite meal along with your husband and have a nice romantic date to liven up your mood. You can also enjoy a family gathering and spend some time with your loved ones so that you feel pampered and loved that will do a whole lot of good in keeping you happy and bubbly.

Go shopping - You can now shop for your baby as you will need a host of things as soon as your baby arrives. Though, you might not want to go overboard with your shopping but there is no harm if you do some basic shopping for your baby like some clothes, diapers, baby cosmetics, breast pumps, feeding bottles etc. You have all the time now to evaluate a thousands of options before you pick one because you will not have the luxury of “time” when your baby arrives.Catch up with friends- You can definitely spend some time with your friends, enjoy a nice dinner with them and bond with them to feel relaxed and happy. Spending some quality time with your friends will also give you a lot of peace of mind as you know that you have a strong support system for yourself as you might need a lot of help for keeping away baby blues after the arrival of your baby.

Exercise or practice yoga- Practicing yoga or light exercise will help you keep your weight in check and will also help you feel relaxed. Yoga helps in letting out stress and also assists in uplifting your mood.Therefore, follow some of the above mentioned tips and have a nice and relaxed time during your pregnancy without worrying about the pain that you will have to go through during child birth or about how you will take care of your baby etc.
