web site from search engines via "natural" search results. Usually, the

earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it "ranks,"

the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different

kinds of search, including image search, local search.

Type Of SEO

SEO techniques can be classified into two broad categories

•White Hat SEO• Black Hat SEO

White Hat SEO

In search engine optimization (SEO) terminology, White Hat SEO refers tothe usage of SEO strategies, techniques and tactics that focus on ahuman audience opposed to search engines and completely followssearch engine rules and policies. A Web site that is SEO optimized, yetfocuses on relevancy and organic ranking is considered to be optimizedusing White Hat SEO practices.White Hat SEO techniques include using keywords and keyword analysis, backlinking, link building to improve link popularity, and writing contentfor human readers White Hat SEO is more frequently used by those whointend to make a long-term investment on their Web site. Also calledEthical SEO.

Black Hat SEO• Black Hat SEO refers to the use of aggressive SEO strategies, techniques

and tactics that focus only on search engines and not a human audience, and usually does not obey search engines rules.

• Black Hat SEO techniques include keyword stuffing, invisible text and doorway pages. Black Hat SEO is more frequently used by those who are looking for a quick financial return on their Web site, rather than a long-term investment on their Web site.

• Black Hat SEO can possibly result in your Web site being banned from a search engine, however since the focus is usually on quick high return business models, most experts who use Black Hat SEO tactics consider being banned from search engines a somewhat irrelevant risk. Black Hat SEO may also be referred to as Unethical SEO or just Spamdexing, as Spamdexing is a typical frequently used Black Hat SEO practice.

Black Hat SEO

• keyword Stuffing• Hidden Text• Clocking• Doorway Pages• Link Spamming• Duplicates Sites• Paid Link• Link Farming• Scraping• Title Staking

Keyword Stuffing

• Black Hat SEO is to stuff you’re with as many keywords as you can thinkoff. A SEO technique used by Web designers to overload keywords onto aWeb page so that search engines will read the page as being relevant in aWeb search. Because search engines scan Web pages for the words thatare entered into the search criteria by the user, the more times a keywordappears on the Web page the more relevancy the search engine will assignto the page in the search results.

• Search engines often penalize a site if the engine discovers keywordstuffing.

Hidden Text

Hidden text is text that is set at the same color as the backgroundor very close to it. While the major search engines can easilydetect text set to the same color as a background somewebmasters will try to get around it by creating an image file thesame color as the text and setting the image file as thebackground. While undetectable at this time to the searchengines this is blatant spam and websites using this tactic areusually quickly reported by competitors and the site blacklisted.

CloakingCloaking is a method of presenting different information to thesearch engines than a human visitor would see. There are too manymethods of cloaking to possibly list here and some of them are stillundetectable by the search engines. That said, which methods stillwork and how long they will is rarely set-in-stone and like hiddentext, when one of your competitors figures out what is being done(and don't think they aren't watching you if you're holding one of thetop search engine positions) they can and will report your site and itwill get banned.

Doorway PagesDoorway pages are pages added to a website solely to target a specifickeyword phrase or phrases and provide little in the way of value to avisitor. Generally the content on these pages provide no informationand the page is only there to promote a phrase in hopes that once avisitor lands there, that they will go to the homepage and continue onfrom there.

Link Spamming

These are all the gambling, porn, and junk website that are chockingthe internet. also considered bad neighborhood sites these arewebsite you want to avoid linking to at all costs.

Duplicate Sites

• Old Black Hat SEO trick is to create duplicate sites.

• This is where you take an existing website or blog take its source code andmake a few simple changes to it. they modify such things as the sites titletags, Meta tags, description, keywords, or change a title bit of the contentby rearranging it. Once the changes are made they get in indexed onGoogle and the search engines.

• Again Google is always getting better at spotting black that SEO tricks andhas the ability to match sites. if it sees a duplicate will be banned.

Paid Link

Some site owners will approach the owner of another website that ranks better then theirs and actually pay them to have a link placed on their sites. This shouldn't be confused with advertising web space on your site that companies pay a monthly fee to display their advertisements. This is one site owner to another personally i think this is less a black hat trick then just plain stupid and wasteful. Google will penalize you if they find out, though the chances are slim.

Link Farming

The process of exchanging reciprocal links with Web sites in order to increase search engine optimization. The idea behind link farming is to increase the number of sites that link to yours because search engines such as Google rank sites according to, among other things, the quality and quantity of sites that link to yours. In theory, the more sites that link to yours, the higher your ranking in the search engine results will be because the more links indicate a higher level of popularity among users of the Internet. However, search engines such as Google consider link farming as a form of spam and have been implementing procedures to banish sites that participate in link farming, so the term link farming has garnered negative connotations across the Internet.

Scraping• With the countless number of website, blogs, video, and everything else

on the internet these day it's almost impossible to have something that's 100% original. That being said scraping or essentially copying and pasting

• somebody else's content is a huge no no. Your content should always be written in your own words or if copied from another site, done with their permission and the appropriate links back to their site.

Title StakingThis is when you more then one title par page in the title tags of your website in an attempt to have that page rank high in search results. Don't do this, Its stupid plane and simple.

Why we do Black Hat SEO?

• Natural search engine optimization is a long and tedious process for any website.

• To be an the first page of Google foe a given term, it can take years!

• Black Hat SEO tactics have proven to be effective for some; and some website have even seen first page results in just a matter of days.

Disadvantages of Black Hat SEO

• If Black Hat SEO tactics are employed by a reputable business, the risk can be very substantial.

• if Google detects a website of link spamming, link farming, keyword stuffing, or any other illegal activity, it can ban your website forever from their search portal.

• Temporary high ranking switches to low ranking.• Quality of the website goes bad.• Permanently banned from search engines.

Conclusion

• Black Hat SEO is seen as a misleading and morally wrong practice.

• Using such tactics will most likely lead to a ban from Google and other leading search engines.
