THE CLIENT

THE SITUATION

KMD faced a huge challenge with provisioning new projects with the required development, testing and deploying infrastructure. KMD came to Ciklum for guidance and were particularly interested in how Ciklum solved the same problem internally.

THE SOLUTION

Expert consultants from Ciklum Consulting Office spent four months with representatives from KMD, both onsite in Denmark as well as video conference sessions between Ukraine and Denmark.

During the process, Ciklum arranged a series of workshops with KMD PR Project Manager Thomas Madsen and a number of KMD’s technicians.

Thomas Madsen personally spent almost two months with Ciklum’s experts, collecting information and advice on technology and tools used on the projects.

The process ended with a discussion on how to group the tools and how to define separate approaches in providing project infrastructure depending on particular project requirements.

THE RESULT

In relation to the clarification of development environment setups at KMD PR, we have benefitted greatly from Ciklum’s expert knowledge on development environments, including Continuous Integration and Build Box, as well as a set of special open source tools.

We have used Ciklum within very specific knowledge areas that we did not ourselves have experience with, and this has enabled us to make the right decisions. Throughout the last four months we have had several onsite and video conference meetings, which worked perfectly.

Ciklum has acted responsibly according to all agreed-upon deadlines, and the quality of their deliveries has been very high as they possess core competencies within development environments, whether they are working with .Net, Java or especially mobility platforms.

All in all, it has been has been a positive experience and I will not hesitate to recommend them to others who need a sparring partner, or who need technicians for the implementation of a development setup.
