What’s a girl to do? Being single and on the dating scene can sometimes feel like a never-ending battle. After meeting dud upon dud, and the occasional, maybe that doesn’t pan out, a girl can get discouraged. And when you finally do meet someone you connect with, that brings its own set of challenges. If you’re lucky, it will end in happily ever after. If not, you end up with the inevitable break-up letdown, and then the Beyoncé if you like it, then you should have put a ring on it / Gloria Gaynor I will survive single lady done wrong empowerment moment. You pick up the pieces of a failed attempt at a relationship, wash your hands of him, and move on to the next one. Like I said, a never-ending battle.

It’s time to stop this vicious dating cycle once and for all! Like Boston Dating Coach Gregg Michaelsen says, we are women of quality and WE choose who WE want. Not the other way around. Here are some of Gregg’s best dating tips for women (just a sampling —for more advice

• Build confidence and get busy to lure quality men. Nothing is more attractive than a confident, interesting woman who is busy. You have your own life, your own career, your own hobbies and interests, and your own friends. Keep it that way! Don’t change for a man. He is NOT the key to your happiness. He is just the icing on the cake that YOU make. Get a life first, and then you WILL find Mr. Right.

• Don’t waste your time on duds or maybes. Don’t think you can change him. You can’t. Staying with him in hopes that it will get better will just hold you back and lead to more disappointment down the road. If you’re not sure, there is a reason.

• Step up your game and know what you want. Make a list of deal-breakers. Not silly things, but real, substantial must-haves for a mate. Good with kids? Check! Kind to animals? Check! Generous? Check! Hard working? Check! Mean to his Mom? Red flag! Bad temper? Red flag! Drinks too much? Red flag! Asks to borrow money? Red flag! The sooner you dump him, the better.

• Hopefully these three dating tips for women will serve as a starting point on a new path to love. Stop going around in circles and look straight ahead! There is a light at the end of the tunnel of love.
