Australia  offers  a  set  of  points-­‐based  visas  for  skilled  workers  from  around  the  world.  These  visas  allow  you  to  migrate  to  Australia  and  can  give  you  permanent  residency.  One  of  the  visas  in  this  program  is  the  Skilled  Independent  Visa,  also  known  as  Subclass  189.  If  you’re  considering  a  move  to  Australia,  a  Skilled  Independent  Visa  might  be  right  for  you.    

Skilled Independant Subclass 189 Visa

Basic  Requirements    English  language  requirement      Age  limit  of  50  years  old.    Submit  an  expression  of  interest,  in  which  you  provide  informa?on  about  your  occupa?on.    Skill  assessment  to  determine  if  your  skills  within  that  occupa?on  are  suitable.

Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 Visa Australia’s  points-­‐based  visa  system  allows  certain  skilled  workers  to  gain  permanent  residency.

State Sponsored Subclass 190 Visa This  visa  is  for  those  who  require  the  extra  points  to  meet  the  minimum  score  for  permanent  residency.  The  subclass  190  is  for  you  if  you  are  interested  in  migra?ng  to  a  par?cular  state  for  at  least  the  first  2  years  of  your  visa.

The  Invited  Pathway  

Skilled Nominated or sponsored (Provisional) Subclass 489 Visa To  qualify  for  this  visa,  you  must  also  have  sponsorship  from  a  rela?ve  in  Australia.  The  Skilled  Regional  visa  is  aimed  at  certain  Designated  Areas  of  Australia.  Your  family  member  must  live  in  one  of  these  areas.  To  find  out  what  rela?ves  can  sponsor  you,  and  where  they  must  live,  get  in  touch  with  Global-­‐Migrate  for  the  most  up-­‐to-­‐date  informa?on.  

Regional sponsored subclass 489A This  visa  enables  you  to  live  and  work  in  specified  regions  in  Australia  for  up  to  4  years.  There  are  two  sub  categories  for  which  applicants  can  apply  under.  

You  must  submit  an  expression  of  interest  first.  

Extended  Pathway  You  just  apply  for  the  Skilled  Regional  (Provisional)  Renewal  subclass  489.

417 Working Holiday Visa 2  month  visa  which  enables  you  to  work  for  an  Australian  Employer  of  your  choice  for  up  to    6  months  and  then  with  another  employer  for  the  remaining  6  months  of  your  visa.  Alterna?vely  you  can  use  your  working  holiday  visa  as  a  holiday  and  just  travel.

Child Visa Subclass 101 Lets  an  eligible  Australian  parent  sponsor  their  child  to  live  in  Australia  

Adoption Visa Subclass 102 Lets  a  child  come  to  Australia  to  live  with  their  adop?ve  parent.  

Child Visa Subclass 802 Enables  a  child  who  is  currently  in  Australia  to  remain  in  Australia  indefinitely.  

Dependant Childa Visa Subclass A  child  applying  for  this  visa  must  be  the  dependent  child  of  a  parent  who  holds  a  temporary  Partner  visa  or  a  Dependent  Child  visa.  Orphan Relative Subclass 117 This  visa  allows  a  child  to  travel  to  and  live  permanently  in  Australia  with  their  sponsoring  rela?ve.  

Orphan Relative Subclass 837 Allows  the  child  to  live  permanently  in  Australia  with  their  sponsoring  rela?ve
