Verizon Communications, Grapevine, Texas Senior Contracts Manager Sep 20, 2011 - May 14, 2015Manages all contract activities including leading a group of six Contracts Specialist/Coordinators. Create employee and contract performance spreadsheets, along with various pie and bar charts, to demonstrate in real-time, the current status of individuals and verticals. The contract types included. A significant part of my position included a strong emphasis on metrics and reporting.

Fundamentally, my role required participating in the business development process was an important by providing expertise in contract knowledge, and contract negotiation processes. Provides insight into existing contracts and contracts under consideration for pursuit. US Army, La Marque, Texas Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS)fOct 28, 2008 - Oct 27, 2014 My training and certification as a BHS include intake, assessment, psychotherapy/counseling, treatment planning, goal setting, evaluations, case management, support, periodic follow-ups, field and offsite visits. My experience also includes a 1 year deployment to Baghdad, Iraq OIF 2009-2010. In my capacity, I was personally responsible for providing counseling and supportive therapy to 3500 Iraqi Detainees, Coalition Forces, and my comrades with the utmost integrity and nonjudgmental. Presentations and briefings for Resiliency, Suicidal Ideation, Homicidal Ideation, PTSD, Sexual Harassment, Smoking Cessation classes, and Sleep Hygiene classes. Tasks included creating and developing classes and briefings beneficial to military personnel. Setting up and assisting in the operations of a Troop Medical Clinic (TMC) in austere conditions. Lead advanced convoy missions for multiple annual trainings. Strategic planning for actual and training missions.

The results of my work improved relations for lower enlisted to high enlisted, and enlisted with officers. Military personnel who typically would not seek psychological services, became more comfortable and felt less stigmatized due to the manner in which services were presented.

Tasks included research, review, intake, client and witness investigation, evidence preparation and compilation for trial and litigation purposes. All work was to be handled in a confidential and timely manner.

I was able to utilize by business organizational skills, and ability to communicate in a discerning manner to help negotiate pleas, write and present proposals, marketing, and establish policies and procedures for departments and smaller firms.

Successful results included successful trial and client outcomes, improved contracting processes, document review and compliance. It is in my opinion that the longevity of my career speaks volumes in that most of my clients were repeat and referrals.
