Masthead – The Masthead is big and bold, you can easily recognise that the magazine is billboard behind Katy Perry. The colour in the centre of the letter makes the magazine look even more visually appealing

Tagline – Insight of who the main focus of the magazine is. They tell the audience that Katy Perry is the ‘new queen of pop’ which encourages readers to buy the magazine.

Main Image – Katy Perry dominates the cover as she takes up most of the page. The image created by

Cover Lines – The cover lines are just a quick insight in what the reader may find inside of the magazine. So they can decide whether they want to purchase it or not.

Colour Scheme – The main colour in this issue is pink, representing that Katy Perry is more appealing to the female audience compared to the male. It is still very bright and appealing to the eye.

Masthead – The Masthead is big and bold, because this is a well known magazine, it is easy to tell who the magazine is buy. The main artist is superimposed over the name.

Pug –The pug is big and bold and offers a ‘don’t miss’ advertisement of something inside the magazine.

Cover Lines– A quick insight of what is in the magazine so the reader know s and is encouraged to buy it.

Main Image– The main image being Miley Cyrus is used with direct mode of address to engage the audience and is seen as conventional.

Colour Scheme – There are many colours being used in this front cover, which can be seen as unconventional, however the main 3 colours are black, white and purple, these colours are more luxurious and tempt the reader.

Main cover line– The main cover line here is seen as unconventional due to its place being right in the middle of the magazine, but it grabs the readers attention.

Main image – The model is topless and is looking directly at the audience, so readers think that is staring directly at them.

Mast head – The colour red is often symbolized as being seductive, this may be to encourage the female audience to read the magazine. The term vibe is known in terms of how an atmosphere is and the use of the colour red for this masthead connotes that it brings an upbeat atmosphere as the colour is bright.

Cover Lines – The cover lines are just a quick insight in what the reader may find inside of the magazine. So they can decide whether they want to purchase it or not.

Colour Scheme – The colour scheme throughout this edition is white black and red, and it doesn’t sway to any other colour in the front cover, these colours show the seductiveness of this issue.

Mast Head – This magazine is a popular one so the mast head doesn’t need to be shown because people already know who it is and the simplicity of it makes it stand out even more
