Our identity should not be

defined by putting others

down, but by lifting others

up. That is democracy and I

have not come across any

better definition than this.

In our call for world peace

we fight for freedom. But

lets not forget ourselves in

such ways that in our strive

for freedom we forget the

basic rights of humanity.

This is our holy call.

12 Psychological Hacks

that Will Help You Gain the

Advantage in Social Situations.

#1. If you want to know about something from someone , ask them a question and when they are done answering , keep silent and maintain an eye contact. They will tell you some more stuff, almost everything.

#2. When you try to convince someone over something, make sure they are sitting and you are standing. This makes them believe you sooner.

#3. The key to confidence is walking into a room and assume that everyone already likes you.

#4. Refer to people you’ve just met by their name. People love being referred to by their name and it will establish a sense of trust and friendship right away. Example: “Nice to meet you Alex. So, Alex how do you know John?” And continue to repeat name throughout the conversation.

#5. If someone is attracted to you, their eyes start blinking more than usual during a conversation with you.

#6. Spot the difference between a fake smile and a real one. You can find out if someone is smiling for real or faking it by looking at their eyes. Wrinkles form near eye corners when the smile is genuine.

#7. Pay attention to people’s feet. To know if someone is interested in a conversation look at their feet, if they are pointing towards you, they are. If they are pointing sideways or any other direction, they aren’t. Feet don’t lie.

#8. When at a party or a meeting, crack a joke and observe the people who are laughing around you. People who feel close to each other will be looking at each other. This is useful for discerning out friendships and other relationships.

#9. The life hack to make people do what you want them to do. Offer someone a choice instead of a command. For example, instead of saying drink your milk to a toddler, ask which mug would he/she like to drink milk from. This gives the person a sense of control hence produces a higher chance of a better outcome.

#10. How to win an argument?. If the person arguing loses his temper and starts shouting, natural human tendency is to shout back. DON’T! Stay calm and reply in silence. This will piss them off even more. Try it! It works.

#11. Mirror people’s body language to build up trust. If you subtly mimic the body language of the person you’re talking to, you can effectively build up trust with them. By mirroring the way they speak and how they move they’ll like you more, because, to them, it will seem as if you are pretty good compatible.

#12 Inception To plant a seed of idea in someone’s mind, ask them to not think of a particular thing at all. Let’s say I ask you to NOT think about ELEPHANTS. What are you thinking of? ;)

ORGANIC HEALTH

ACNESYMPTOMS :

THERAPY :

Blackheads, whiteheads, and short pink bumps called papules, which appear on the skin in the form of cysts as a result of pro-longed contact with dust, polluted air, sweat, or dirty water. Acne usually occurs on the face, but areas like the legs, buttocks, shoul-ders, chest, and back are also not spared by this skin condition.

☀ Tomato Slices: Rubbing tomato slices on scars is effective in reduc-ing the appearance of the marks or scars.

☀ Cucumber Juice: Cucumber juice is an ideal skin toner, which improves the texture of the skin.

☀ Egg Whites: Apply egg whites on the scars using a cotton ball and leave it on overnight to get the best effect.

☀ Aloe Vera & Sage: Soak sage in hot water, cool, and then apply it on the skin. Aloe Vera can be applied directly to the skin.

☀ Lime Juice: Apply freshly squeezed juice from limes or lemons on the scars, then leave them for a while before washing them of.

☀ Olive Oil: Lightly massage olive oil onto the skin, and it will make the skin smooth again and reduce how noticeable the scars are.

☀ Honey: Eating honey and applying a honey mask on the face are found to be effective in acne scar treatment.

☀ Water: You should drink plenty of water, as it helps in flushing out the toxins from your body and revitalizing it.

HOW TO GET IT DONE

SUDOKU is a number puzzle game that is very interesting and easy to play. Like any other game, it

has the basic, intermediary and advanced level. This game originated from the French in thelate

19th Century, modified over the years and was introduced into Japan around 1984 andearned the

Japanese name Sudoku which translates “digits are limited to one occurrence”Usually, a 9×9 grid is

populated with a few given numbers (as illustrated in Figure 1 below) andthe main objective is to

complete the empty spaces with the correct numbers but not violatingSudoku rules.

figure 1. figure 2

Things to note:

1. Sudoku rules state that each vertical column

(as shaded yellow in Figure 2) has ninecells/box-

es and each horizontal row (as shaded pink in

Figure 2) has nine cells/boxes too.

2. Each empty row and each empty column has

to be filled with a single number rangingfrom 1

to 9 without any repetition.

3. Each block (as shaded green in Figure 2)

contains nine boxes should also containnum-

bers 1 to 9 without any repetition.

4. There is only one correct number per cell5. It

is also advised to solve this puzzle with a pencil

for easy cleaning with an eraser if needbe.

How to Play:

Armed with this information, start by dutifully

scanning block by block, row by row, column

bycolumn and determine the possible numbers

that could be added based on already existing

given numbers.

Where it is not instantly possible to get a

correct number, simply pencil a possible number

andwork out the remaining field. This also helps

to uncover answers quickly and thus saving

time.Remember, a little logic would have to be

applied when working out the right number per

cell.

Try completing the grid in Figure 1 and lets

know the time used in its completion.

skinny loveStanding behind the curtains is like being at the veil to the after-life, yep before the white light

appears. You saw that scene from recent ghost movie. where the guy gets a flash play of his entire life

and then, boom the light. But behind the curtains you get the reflection of how you got this far. You are

here because of what you have achieved. At this moment you are a great dillema. The only question that

runs through your head is how do I connect to this people, the audience, What do I say? My aim is not to

inspire everyone, that is Coca Cola’s job, my job here is to change the world by touching at least one

person. That would be a good work done.

I could talk about why I aimed for straight A’s in school, but then that would make me sound like a

factory product. I could talk about obedience but that would make me sound religious, then there is this

other one have heard most people talk on “ they made it, so can you”. Please get the hell out of here; can

you let us how they did it. I don’t mean tell me the bullshit about attitude and determination. It is

important but how did they make it. Now there is the topic on world peace, but for christ sake you don’t

look like a diplomat or an ambassodor. For all you know this audience only care about the fact that they

are not fighting with their neighbors left alone having a nation riot. At least that is their world peace.

Just at that moment you look through a crack in the curtains and there she sits in the front roll.

Apart from her long hair which is probably a wig, she still got her high school looks. Nope, she look ...; you

lost for words. Upon all your achievements this is; she is one thing you consider your failure. The coordi-

nator walks to you and says, you are up in 30 seconds, you heart races, your palms sweat, you close your

eyes and there you see it clearly, “lost moments” that is what you want to talk about.

Now you got a bigger problem at hand. ....................TO BE CONTINUED..............

"7 Years"Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,

"Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely."Once I was seven years old

It was a big world, but we thought we were biggerPushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker

By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquorNever rich so we were out to make that steady figure

Once I was eleven years old, my daddy told me,"Go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely."

Once I was eleven years old

I always had that dream, like my daddy before meSo I started writing songs, I started writing stories

Something about that glory just always seemed to bore me'Cause only those I really love will ever really know me

Once I was twenty years old, my story got toldBefore the morning sun, when life was lonely

Once I was twenty years old

I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure'Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major

I got my boys with me, at least those in favorAnd if we don't meet before I leave, I hope I'll see you later

Once I was twenty years old, my story got toldI was writing about everything I saw before me

Once I was twenty years old

Soon we'll be thirty years old, our songs have been soldWe've traveled around the world and we're still roaming

Soon we'll be thirty years old

I'm still learning about lifeMy woman brought children for me

So I can sing them all my songsAnd I can tell them stories

Most of my boys are with meSome are still out seeking gloryAnd some I had to leave behind

My brother, I'm still sorry

Soon I'll be sixty years old, my daddy got sixty-oneRemember life, and then your life becomes a better one

I made a man so happy when I wrote a letter onceI hope my children come and visit once or twice a month

Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is coldOr will I have a lot of children who can warm me?

Soon I'll be sixty years old

Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is coldOr will I have a lot of children who can warm me?

Soon I'll be sixty years old

Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,"Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely."

Once I was seven years old

Once I was seven years old

the story behind the Lyrics

Is about growing up and getting older, and getting to know life, and [going through] more and more experienc-es, and finally getting a family of your own and realizing that the ultimate goal in life must be to be so good [of] a father that your kids want to come and visit you when you're an old man. And not be the bitter old man, and of course the realization that it was easier to be 7 than to be 70.

It's a highly emotive song. The singer recalls his child-hood, his hopes, his dreams – and smoking weed at 11. He looks forward to turning 60. It's personal. “I couldn't go any further than 60 because my father died at 61,” Graham, who is 27, has said.

“Well, it’s a strange song in the sense it doesn’t have a hook, and it doesn’t have like a fixed structure, which I kinda like about it. It just has this folky vibe that progresses through the ages and lets you grow with the song.”

“I think no matter how old you are—if you are 80, maybe you feel like the song wasn’t written for you. But yeah, a lot of people can relate to it, and that’s what I experience when I hear people talk about it. It’s their feelings and their story that they portray through something I wrote.”

It covers a subject not normally discussed in pop music: “The song’s basically just about becoming a good father, and being such a good father that your children would want to come and visit you when you’re an old, boring man. I had a really, really cool father, so that’s what I wanna be too.”

“A lot of older people are actually very, very young. And they look at their age as some stamp that now they can point fingers at all the people that are younger than them; in reality I am probably a lot smarter than some of them anyway, at least. I’ve read more books; I’ve tried more stuff; I’ve seen more things.”

“And I think that’s why I can write a song like ‘Seven Years,’ because I might only be 27, but I know what my dreams are. I knew when I was a young man that I wanted to be a father, and I knew I was gonna be a good father at that.”

Nana Yaw KwakyeTHE INTERVIEW

Who are you?I am someone who likes to enjoy life to the fullness

,someone who does not joke with his God at all

times because He is the answer to all questions

and a councilor to all problems. I believe in hard

work, sincerity and understanding. Reading,soccer

and cooking is my hobby. I prefer walking with

lady's because they know how to handle men. and

that is whom l am.

What have you learnt in life?Life is real and life is not straight as we think at the

age of18 ,the real life start at 20 when u realizes

that your friends are far ahead and you need to

catch up. In fact was when I was age 20 l got to

know life better, because then, you have finished

school and must have a job and settled down. Let

me tell you my experience after my technical

school in the year 2005 that was in my 20s,

Since there was no money to continued my educa-

tion l had to look for job to better my future, by

then l had completed my attachment with GBC

and l was told that they will be employing so l

should wait and worked with them, in fact l work

with them for 7 years without pay if l may say over

8 years because if l stay home l will be doing

unnecessary things which no one will show respect

to me. With hard work and sincerity someone that

l have not met before connected me to aviation as

area Rigger which is the lowest rank in the techni-

cal section but today through hard work sincerity

God has added me to the head's of the technical

section, so my dear, life is round but if u don't take

the path carefully you will not enjoy it.

How would you like to be remembered? In fact l want to be remembered base of my

achievement not by mansions but by the transfor-

mation I made in people to that has seen them to

higher positions than I have achieved. Some

through advice I gave, other through cash and

putting a few through to school. l feel proud any

time they call on me because I see my legacy.

STANDARDSSo my own in life is to receive

but never give??? I’ll receive gifts,

I’ll receive attention, and all those

stuff but I won’t be able to give

back.

Relationships take a lot of things.

The definition of a relationship

depends on the person. My ideal

relationship is one where I am

pampered, yes, but the person

recognizes my self-worth. Not

because I demand it, but because

he sees it and so I’m spending time

improving upon who I am for my

ideal partner so that when I meet

the person I want, I’ll be able to be

what he wants too. If I can’t be

what he wants me to me, well then

I guess we are incompatible. But

what if the one I love doesn’t love

me back?

Well that’s life for you. Just

because I love someone doesn’t

mean the person has to like me

back and that’s why I must posi-

tion myself to be someone likable.

You see, the standards I have for

my future guy is quite high. And

that’s why I myself must be very

good too. If I’m going to be spend-

ing a long time with you, and

you’re not just a fling, you must be

up to my standards. You don’t

have to be a shareholder at Apple

or drive a Lamborghini to have a

“standard”. My guy has to be

intelligent. You know how cocaine

makes people high? Intelligent

conversations make me high so

you must be conversant in a wide

range of topics. And you must be

able to engage me in a debate. A

debate I’ll learn a lot from. If you’re

stupid, it’s a deal breaker I can’t

live with you.

So Number 1. You must be

intelligent; not academically

smart, intelligent. If you’re hand-

some yet stupid NO, that’s even

worse. I’ve dated that before.

Unfortunately. So I know what it

feels like to date someone like that.

Number 2. You must be someone

with a future. Yes, you can be

intelligent as fuck, but if you don’t

have a future, you’ll just be a

burden on me. It means you’ll just

piggyback on MY resources. No sir.

So I must see from conversing with

you that you have a plan for your

future, or at least, your future is

bright.

So if a truck pusher has a future,

why not? He’ll be a great candi-

date.

When I say future I mean someone

who has plans, who has thought

about his future, who is concerned

about it and how he is taking

obvious steps to get to that future.

Because someone concerned

about HIS future, will appreciate

the importance of YOURS and

won’t tell you to make unneces-

sary sacrifices for him. He will

support you and he will encourage

you because he can appreciate

how important a good future is to

both of you. And your kids too.

So number three, you must

excite me.

You don’t have to be handsome to

do that. Without passion, a rela-

tionship would be boring so you

must be passionate. Sensational.

You must make me look forward to

nights with you.

I have to lust after you. There has

to be something about you ...

Page 14: E 2 ey ebrows magazine

... that drives me crazy but at the

same time, I see passion to be my

partner too, being crazy about me.

My partner being able to concen-

trate on only me. He must not just

be passionate.

Passionate is just a subsection of

excitement. He must excite me. He

can be passionate about football

but football doesn’t excite me. You

get what I mean now?

So it’s intelligent guy with a bright

future who excites me. I don’t

know what excites me by the way

lol. It’s a je ne sais quoi but when I

see it I will know. Like Andrew.

Remember him from chronicles??

Haha read it, you’ll know. He had a

je ne sais quoi that heightened

every sexual experience. So yes,

something like that. It can be

anything.

A sense of mystery.

A certain swagger.

A sense of sophistication. How

much you can provoke my naugh-

ty side because I have to have a

sense of decorum. There are a few

more of my standards for my ideal

guy though

There’s the fact that the person

must be ready to be committed to

me, and a family and kids. With-

out that commitment, all the rest

are useless because you’ll go away

with them. I’m very conservative

when it comes to family. You must

be committed to me. And only me.

FOR EVER. And you must be

ready to build a life with me.

But to be honest, it’s very vital

that he be ready to commit

because that’s the only guarantee

that I’ll enjoy all other benefits.

So it’s an intelligent guy, who

excites me, has a future and is

ready to be committed. It’s

important that I know what to

search for.

So after that, comes the other

ones, the minor ones. Physical

appearance. Financial status and

stuff like that. Even if you’re all

that, but you’re not an intelligent

guy, who excites me, has a future,

and is ready to be committed, then

you’re not what I want for the long

haul. Because someone like that

will become rich in the end and

will be able to afford the best gyms

and plastic surgeries.

Besides how can you excite me if

you look like a decorated monkey?

Now that I think of it, your physi-

cal appearance falls under the

excitement part because if I’m not

physically attracted to you, how

can you excite me?

What I mean is I don’t have tight

criteria unlike some other people.

Just excite me. So I guess that’s it.

Wait a minute. I do have a weak-

ness for hot fools but I’ll know

from the start that they are not

forever. But if he’s all that AND

hot, I’ll just die.

To be honest, if I met someone like

that tomorrow, I’ll drop all my

hesitations and follow them.

So it’s an intelligent guy, who

excites me, has a future and is

ready to be committed. Who’s

ready?

Truly yours,

Ama Titanic

STOP THE SUFFER SUFFER

I chanced upon a cartoon video today but was quite loaded with a positive message for every person regardless of their age.

It was a video about a carpenter who had closed from work, turned off all the inside light and locked up his shop. At night, a hungry snake slithered from the nearby bush to the entrance of the carpenters shop. Finding a narrow crev-ice in the wall of the shop, it entered and welcomed itself hoping to find food to eat. In the shop, the snake moved over storage wood, working benches and looked under objects to find food.

Through this action of moving from corner to corner, the snake accidentally bumped into a carpentry handsaw with a jagged edge blade and wounded itself. The snake without hesitation turned swiftly and took a deep bite at the car-pentry object out of anger andthus injuring its mouth. (What could a bite do to a metallic object anyway?)

This feeling upset the snake more and out of fury and driven into a mood of revenge, attacked the handsaw by coil-ing itself around this tool in a bid to strangle it. Of cause it got worse.

Early the next morning, the carpenter reopened his shop to only realize a dead snake on the ground coiled around the hand-saw. The snake died not due to the carpenters fault nor any persons fault BUT rather due to its uncontrolled anger and revengeful attitude.

Question; is it always vital to respond to everything that offends us?Stop. Take a deep breath & evaluate.

We have gotten angry in our lives one way or the other. Many a time, this has resulted in affecting our mood negative-ly, having a direct consequence on health, clouding the mind & judgement, hurting ourselves, impacting adversely on those who offended us, affecting persons that had nothing to do with the situation in the first place etc. etc.Make good of every situation and culti-vate the habit of keeping a merry coun-tenance regardless of the situation. Remember, it is for your own well-being.

Quit renting part of your mind and soul to tenants such as anger, revenge and their siblings.

Two TribesConcerning the things of the word of God, I wonder very

much why there is a loud silence on what I have come to

discover. It is all centered on two races, that is the Jews

and the gentiles. Most people believe gentiles are pagans

, idol worshipers, of-course, that is how the Ewe Bible

describe it, but pick any english dictionary and it defines

gentiles as non-Jewish race and in this light I speak.

I have come to discover that God has raised the Jews far

above the gentiles. For you are a holy people to the Lord

your God: marked out by the Lord your God to be his

special people out of all the nations on the face of the

earth because of his love for you, and in order to keep his

oath to your fathers, . Deut 7:6-8. I am so much

surprised. God would restore the preserves of Jacob.

Gentile kings shall be foster fathers to Israel and their

queens nursing mothers, they shall bow down to them

and that would prove that his is the lord and they that

wait on him shall not be put to shame. Isaiah 49 : 6,23.

Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons

of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But you shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men

shall call you the Ministers of our God: you shall eat the

riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast

yourselves. Isaiah 61: 5-6. if you will obey my voice

indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a

peculiar treasure to me above all people: for all the earth

is mine: And you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and

an holy nation. These are the words which you shall

speak to the children of Israel. Exodus 19: 5-6 .It is so

fascinating that Jesus came onto this earth and to my

surprise ministered to only two gentiles. There is this

third personality I would not consider as a full gentile.

The Samaritan woman at the well.

Considering the two gentiles Jesus ministered to, First

was in Luke 7, The centurion heard of Jesus and sent

some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and

heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded

earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do

this, because he loves our nation and has built our syna-

gogue.” So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the

house when the centurion sent friends to say to him:

“Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have

you come under my roof. That is why I did not even

consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word,

and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man

under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one,

‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I

say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus

heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the

crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found

such great faith even in Israel.”.

The second was the Canaanite woman whom we have

all heard messages preached concerning her faith but

are so silent on the ordeal the woman went through left

alone being told by Jesus that he has been sent only to

the lost sheep of the tribe of Israel. Matthew 15: 21-27

Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. A

Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to Him, crying

out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter

is suffering terribly from demon-possession.” Jesus did

not answer a word. So his disciples came to Him and

urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after

us.” He answered, “I was only sent to the lost sheep of

Israel.” The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord,

help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the

children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” “Yes, Lord,” she

said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from

their master’s table.” Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you

have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her

daughter was healed from that very hour.
