Choice ArchitectureThe theory was that people will overlook the opt in form because they are lazy or don’t want to read, and also overlook the opt out form, because they aren’t bothered to read the text that comes along with the tick box.

We have proven the theory to be correct, with none of the people ticking the boxes we provided at the end of the newspaper article. We expected the result, so it wasn’t that surprising. We believe we got the result because the participants were too lazy to read a long chunk of text, especially if they are small in font.
