My name is Jessica Ruiz.

I am an Environment Artist in training.

My personal mantra is

“Creating Magical Worlds on Demand”

I take ideas and make them come to life!

Since the first time I logged into World of Warcraft I knew

I wanted to create my own magical worlds.

Being an Environment Artist will allow me to create

wonderful virtual worlds.

I will bring my experience as a team manager and a

parent into my work.

My experiences with managing a team will allow me to better

manage my time, and help my team do the same

I will also bring compassion, patience, and an open mind

to my work.

Being a parent has taught me to be patient and listen to

other’s opinions with an open mind.

I have taken multiple graphic design classes both in high

school and university.

I have participated in multiple group projects that have

been successful.

I have earned multiple Course Director Awards for my

work while at Full Sail University.

I am proficient with Substance Designer and can create

my own unique materials.

I can also work with Substance Painter and use their

library to create unique props and styles.

These skills have helped me succeed as a student, and will

help me in the future as a professional.

By investing my time and energy into the projects and

worlds I want to create I will gain valuable experience.

Over time I will be better at what I do and will grow not only

as an artist, but as a person as well.

In the process of growing and gaining knowledge I hope to

be able to inspire others to do the same.

I want to work with people who share my passion, and will

be willing to work hard to achieve our goals.

I want to help fellow artists and members of my team to grow

and expand their knowledge.

I want to create magical worlds, stories, and places that will

engage the player or viewer of our work.

I want to work with a team that feels like family and

supports one another throughout the entire process.

My definition of success is being able to do what I love while

living a comfortable life and helping others to do the same.

My professional goal is to be a Senior Environment Artist

at Blizzard Entertainment and eventually start my own company.
