Senior BuyerPaperchase is the UK’s leading retailer in design-led, innovative, stationery, cards and gift-wrap. We continue to expand in the UK and internationally and an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to head up our Stationery team. Reporting directly into our Buying & Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategy of the department ensuring sales,profit and margin are maximized through the successful planning, sourcing and implementation of a commercial product range. You will proactively investigate new product categories, ensuring the focus remains on business growth and brand development. You will also oversee all buying activity and ensure the team’s negotiation skills are well-honed to secure the best possible deal for the business. We are looking for a visionary, dynamic Senior Buyer with a background in stationery from a fast paced, high street retailer. You must have extensive experience of Far East sourcing along with strong product development skills and creative flair. We need a driven, focused person witha proven track record at delivering results and managing a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the gravitas to operate at a senior level is essential along with a confident negotiation technique.
