If you just started a blog or are marketing online, and are ona shoestring budget, you’ve come to the right place.

I remember when I started ,marketing online for the veryfirst time, I didn’t know where to start or what driving trafficmeant…lol

I was just told that I had to copy paste some pre-written adsand place my replicated site to a bunch of free advertising sites. So I did it….and behold….I made my first $20 in 4 months.

Believe me…I have been there my friend.

In this post, you’ll discover not only how to get free traffic toyour blog or site, but most importantly…”free targeted traffic”

have people see you as a go to person. It’s a wonderful way tonetwork also.

9. Share Your Content On Social MediaAs long as youare targeting your desired niche, social media is a great placeto share your content and it can drive targeted traffic to yourblog or site. I know I emphasize a lot on providing value but it’snecessary to build business responsiveness and to help buildtrust

10.Video Marketing

If you’re a shy person and don’t like making videos, I wouldsuggest that you make an effort to get over it as quickly aspossible. Videos are POWERFUL period. I remember whenI made my very first video, I had no idea how to do it andI don’t know how many times I recorded it…lol. But I putmyself out there and surprisingly it got over 20,000 views in6 months time and my first video was in Spanish (of course Ioptimized my video) It doesn’t have to be a professional video. If you’re shy you can actually do a tutorial video and show yourcomputer screen instead but I definitely recommend showingyour face. Videos are more persuasive, people can relate to you,it builds trust and credibility more effectively, search engineslove video content…and the list goes on and on. So, lights, camera and action….you can do it!

11.Blogging

Believe it or not I have had people tell me that “blogging isnot for me”. Yeah…I said that too..lol. I did everything to avoidblogging and led with a sales pitch instead of value. It didn’tgo well. If you’re serious about your business you really needto consider blogging. Blogging can help you build credibilityand position you as an authority in your niche. It can helpyou get immediate feedback (which is something that youwant) You can gain influence and build a network. It’s greatfor search engine optimization. You can collect emails, helpothers, express yourself, build trust, and get more clients inyour business. What can I say, blogging is AWESOME.

12. Write Longer Posts

I must admit, I have been guilty of writing short posts on myblog and I can make every excuse in the book for myself butthe fact is that writing longer posts can actually improve yourretention rate, and search engines love it.

13. Blog Often

The more content you write, the more traffic you will get. Tryto write on a consistent schedule so that your readers knowwhen to expect more content from you.

14. Ping Your Blog Post

Once you create you content and publish it, ping your blog postto places like pingomatic.com to increase you traffic.

15. Include a link to your RSS feed in your blog

By having an RSS feed you are encouraging your visitors tosubscribe and depending on your content they become regularreaders. Syndicating your RSS feed allows your content to bepromoted in other blogs and websites. You can syndicate yourRSS feed to Social Bookmarking sites and RSS directories andhave your headlines get more exposure.

16. Invite others to guest write on your blog

Inviting writers to guest post on your blog definitely has itsbenefits. Not only does it increase traffic, but it also canhelp you get more content variety. It opens doors to buildingrelationships with other people in your niche which is alwaysa good thing and it gives you some relax time. Now you don’twant people spamming your blog so make sure you let themknow that you want valuable content.

17. Share your content in the Facebook Groups

Although I have to admit that when I first started marketingonline, I was a Facebook Spammer, because I just didn’t knowany better but I learned that hard way and I personally I don’tagree with spamming Facebook Groups with links to your BizOpp. It’s just so direct and it’s also leading more with a salespitch instead of leading with value. People hate to be pitchedand I had to learn that the hard way. Facebook also can’t standspammers. When you post in the groups be careful not to postin a bunch of groups to fast. Post things that are going to helpothers. Your content packed with value that’s going to solvetheir problems will definitely help. You can also post inspiringquotes, videos of yourself giving tips…stuff like that. Be uniqueand you will get more exposure

18. Reply to your comment or emails

It’s simple. If people took time out of their day to be niceenough to comment on your blog or email, it’s commoncourtesy to reply and say: “Thanks for your comment and saysomething nice” It can also improve your ranking and get youmore traffic.

19.Submit your post to Reddit and Digg

I am not even going to go into how much traffic you can getwith sharing your content to these sites. Just make sure you’rerelevant and that you learn how because Reddit alone can getyou thousands of visitors. There are just ways of posting thereand you got to be careful because Redditers love to hate you. Idid write a post about getting traffic with Reddit here

20.Share you r posts on Stumble Upon

According to kissmetrics.com “StumbleUpon is one of the besttraffic generators among the top seven social media sites,”They actually wrote a really good article titled “4 Ways ToIncrease Your Website Traffic With StumbleUpon”

21. Include Social Sharing Buttons On Your Posts

For obvious reasons you want to include Social SharingButtons in your post. You do want others to share which willhelp get more traffic to your blog or site. I’m not going to gointo that. Just do it and as long as you get great content outthere, people will share.

Benefits of Getting Free Targeted TrafficVs Regular TrafficBottom line Targeted Traffic provides better conversions thanjust getting Regular Traffic period. You can have a bunch ofvisitors going to your site, but if those visitors are not relatedto your niche or the audience that you want to market to, it’sgoing to be harder to convert. So just make sure you know yourtarget market before doing anything and you’re good. I wrotean article a while back about it here.
