Knowing active
users of your site
is necessary.
It can make or
break your
strategy.
It widens your
imagination to be
more creative.
You must attract
more visitors and
clients.
Stay abreast of
the level of
users’
enthusiasm.
So you should
make them stay
in your site.
Make them your
regular visitors
and customers.
Your growth will
really be
unprecedented.
Making
customers stay
on your site is
the key.
So you must
examine active
users data!
Sign in to Google
Analytics
Type your
email ad,
and then,
click
NEXT.
Use one account
for all Google
transactions.
To facilitate all
your activities
very easily
To save your time
for other
meaningful
outputs
Of course, this
can avoid
juggling your
memory.
Type
your
password
and click

Your password
must be easy to
remember.
But, others must
not memorize it
easily.
Combination of
letters, numbers,
and symbols is
encouraged.
You are then
navigated to your
view.
You can see
HOME,
REPORTING,
CUSTOMIZATION
and ADMIN.
They are located
at the topmost
part.
This time, select
the reporting tab.
Select and
click it.
This time, you
select the
audience tab.
Select and click it.
Select active
users from the
report
navigation.
Select and click it.
It is available in
all analytics
accounts.
No changes to
the tracking code
are necessary.
Let’s go to the
features of active
users.
You must
understand how
it works better.
At times, you
may ask yourself
questions.
How many users
have visited my
site ?
Can I still review
visitors in the
last 30 days?
What about in
the last 14
days?
There is really
nothing to worry
about.
Because these
questions can be
answered!
Now, it’s time to
understand “the
metrics”.
Active users
report lets you
see the following
metrics.
There is this
“one-day active
users”.
There is this
seven-day
active users.
There is also 14-
day active
users.
And, there is
this 30-day
active users.
Using active users
data, you can see
the comparison.
How do metric
values relate to
your date range?
Here’s the truth
about metrics in
the report.
It is related to
the last day.
It’s the last day in
the date range in
the report.
For better
understanding,
here is an
example.
Your date range
is May 19 to
June 18.
This is
equivalent to
30 days.
Take note that one-
day active users
are concerned.
The last day of
your data range is
shown.
In this example,
it is June 18.
This is the last day
of the data range.
You have to
bear in mind
this.
1-day active users
is plotted by
default.
Additional segments
are also displayed in
the scorecard.
These are
additional
segments.
These are also
additional
segments.
You can actually
customize
segments in your
metrics.
You just click “add
segment” and
choose .
Just click this.
These are
the segments
you can
choose from.
Just click the box
before the
segment you have
chosen.
And then, you
have to click
apply.
You have to take
note of this.
Only choose to a
maximum of 4
segments.
You can also
plot other
metrics.
Just select the
metric that you
want.
Choose any of these
metrics.
You can compare
the present and
past performance
In the date range,
scroll it down.
Then, choose the
dates you would
like to compare.
You can see
change in the
chart lines.
This happens
when you add
other metrics.
You ask, “What
does it all mean?”
You have
amazingly found
your sweet spot.
This can only
happen only if:
Numbers are
consistently in line
with your
expectations.
What if the
numbers are below
expectations?
You should really
evaluate your
marketing
efforts!
Are your ads
targeting the
appropriate
audiences?
Are your ads
really winning
the auctions?
You can look for
negative press or
social content.
Doing these two
might affect
traffic.
When marketing
and social buzz
are positive,
don’t stop!
You are may be
creating technical
difficulties to your
users.
Sometimes, you
have a lot of 1-
day users.
But, the number
for longer term
users drop off.
This can signal
problems with
new release.
Initial enthusiasm
isn’t translating
into long-term
engagement.
Thank you
for watching!
