Have you ever had pen pals?

This is our third year doing Leaping Letters, the letter writing program between

an elementary school class and senior citizens. This year, we paired up with a 1st

grade class at Hanby Elementary and everyone is enjoying getting to know each

other. We’re even hoping to bring the two groups together to meet!

If you would be interested in writing letters to an elementary school child next

school year, just let us know and give us a call at 614-259-5034. It is a great way

to connect with the community and keep up on your letter writing skills. And

we do all the delivering for

you, so no postage re-

quired!

Outreach Dept. has started a new book club at the Westerville Senior

Center? Do you enjoy cooking? How about eating? Well, then you’re in

luck! Outreach presents: Cookbook Club. This group meets every 4th

Monday of the month, from 1:30– 3:30 pm at the Westerville Senior Cen-

Have you ever received an item from us that had a

sticker on it entitled either “SearchOhio” or “OhioLink”?

Those stickers indicate that the item you received is

from an Ohio library other than Westerville’s.

SearchOhio items come from public libraries; OhioLink

items come from college libraries. In most cases, these

items are not renewable so please check with Outreach if you want to

keep them more than one month. If you need us to reorder something

for the next month’s deliveries, just let us know. Please note that if you

want to order your own material on-line from SearchOhio or OhioLink,

please place your order exactly two weeks prior to your delivery date.

That allows plenty of time for the items to come in and be ready for us to

bring them right to your front door.

Great Decisions Discussion

Group

Created by the Foreign Policy Association of

America, Great Decisions is America’s

largest discussion program on world affairs.

Their goal is to promote greater understand-

ing and knowledge of foreign affairs, as well

as to learn from and respect the wide variety

of opinions presented in each

discussion. Currently, we are hosting one of

these discussion groups at the Westerville

Senior Center every 4th Monday from 1-

2:30pm.
