What is Picnik?• Picnik is online photo editing software,

with tremendous potential for classroom use.

What does Picnik Do?

• Picnik allows users to upload and edit images from any computer with an internet connection. This means you don’t have to have expensive editing software!

What Can I do with Picnik?

• Other than adding text and definitions to pictures you can enhance the quality of an image to improve it’s visibility.

What else can I do?• Picnik also allows you to edit the pictures

specifically for your classroom. You can create pictures with questions for formative assessments!

Are There Any Other Editing Tools?

• Of course, you can add drawings to add a little fun or flair, and keep your students on their toes.

What About Storage?• That’s the best part about Picnik. These

pictures can be stored locally on your computer, or online for easy access. You don’ have to have a flash drive!

What Can I Do After I’m Finished Editing And Saving?

• Why not include them in your class presentations, or post them on your website. Invite collaboration on a blog or a forum.

Student Input!• Let your students express their creativity by

editing photos and sharing them with the class for collaboration and discussion.

Final Thoughts• You can then let students compile pictures and create a

presentation using an online service like Slideshare which allows you to upload and access presentations from any computer with an internet connection! These are such great resources!
