Established in 1978, Highland Galvanizers is a well-established Scottish company and has a leading reputation in the Scottish galvanizing market.

The company’s main subsidiary, Highland Colour Coaters, specialises in colour powder coating and is one of only a few UK-based companies with the necessary accreditation to deliver such a service.

BIG has sought to raise awareness amongst target groups and ultimately drive architects, local authorities, house builders, the wider construction industry and other key sectors to make Highland their first choice for galvanizing and coating.

BIG co-ordinated the PR campaign which saw the First Minister Alex Salmond officially open Highland’s new £2.5 million Colourgalv Centre

The event generated widespread media coverage and helped position Highland as a market leader, with quality and innovation at the heart of its business

BIG leveraged maximum PR value from new high profile and unusual business wins and developed creative campaigns on the cost of steel maintenance to local authorities and encouraged a public vote on run-down steel structures which brought Highland to the attention of every local authority in Scotland.

Brighten Scotland allowed people up and down Scotland to vote for the public structure most deserving of a colourful makeover

By working proactively, BIG has helped Highland become the most recognised name in Scottish galvanizing, enjoying a 45% market share.

The PR campaign has helped raise Highland’s profile and secure contracts in previously hard-to-reach sectors such as automotive and marine.

During 2011, Highland has been quoted in The Herald, The Scotsman, Real Radio, STV, BBC and key trade magazines such as Urban Realm and Construction News.
