ABOUT ME

Hello,My name is Geoff Jones. I am a Real Estate Agent and Real Estate Appraiser. To put it mildly, Real Estate is my passion and is far from just “a job” for me.

After college, I wasted little time starting my career in Real Estate. The day after my graduation in 2004, I began training as an appraiser apprentice. I became a certified residential appraiser in 2006. I then started my own appraisal company in 2012. In a little under a year, my client list has grown to include the largest lenders in the St. Louis area. I have appraised over 3,000 homes for lenders, attorneys, individuals and real estate agents.

I began selling real estate in 2008. I enjoy working with buyers and sellers. I love to share my knowledge and expertise with my clients. I find great joy in scoring a great deal for my buyers. I enjoy helping sellers get the maximum dollar for their home. With my appraisal background, I am able to help sellers make key improvements and price their homes to maximize profits.

In addition to selling and appraising homes, I currently remodel homes, own rental property and wholesale distressed properties.

Steps to Buying a Home

•Obtain Lender Pre-Approval

Obtain a pre approval letter from a trusted and reputable lender

There is nothing worse than finding the home of your dreams and

finding out you can’t get approved for financing.

A bad lender can ruin your home buying experience

•Find the Best Home for You

Be clear about what you want in a home

Be realistic about what you want and what you can afford

•Present Offer

Once we find the right home, we will submit an offer to purchase

The seller can accept the offer, reject the offer or counter the

offer

•Inspections

Once the contract is accepted, there is a 10 day inspection period

Typical inspections include; building, sewer, termite & radon

Inspections typically cost around $800 and are paid for at

the time of the inspection

Steps to Buying a Home

•Inspection Negotiation

Once inspection are complete there is a 10 day negotiation period

This is the time to ask for repairs, monetary

compensation, price reduction or back out of the contract

•Title Work

The title company will complete the required steps to provide you

with a clean title of the home

•Survey

A survey conveys the property boundaries

•Obtain Loan

Work with lender to provide needed documents in a timely

manner

A loan underwriter will evaluate the loan, appraisal and your

financial situation and decide to approve or reject your

loan

•Closing

A HUD statement outlines your fees and loan information

We will close at the title company and keys will be transferred

when the funds are deposited in the seller’s bank account
