How to Manage Your Computer Cables Effectively

Like any other electrical devices, computers come with cables or cords of different length. When we move our computers to other corners, the cable management comes into mind. We can get confused because many cables are of the same size, length and colour, so when you look at your USB hub, do you know what cable belongs to your external drive? So to get off from this confusion, it is better to label each cable properly. Use a pen or a permanent marker so the writing won’t wear off.




Observe cable cleanliness – Keep unused cables and cords folded, bound and tangle-free with a rubber band or a leftover tissue paper tube. This simple tip can help you keep your stuff neat and easily manageable to avoid tangling and allow more space for storage.

Use USB hubs – Need more connections? Why not use an USB hub? If you don’t have enough ports to connect your other devices, you should consider buying a USB. They come in handy and easily to store.




Bundle cables together – Do you have several cables or cords leading to the same area? Why don’t you bundle them? If you have a number of power cables going to a single outlet, bind them with a rubber band, metal twist tie or zip tie. Bundling cords will reduce clutter and tangling and keep your desktop or workstation need and highly organised.
