Case Study

Glassdoor should be embraced as opposed to feared. It’s a good thing that this amount of traffic is going to our profile. If there are reviews, positive or negative, it’s so important to build on those reviews and join the conversation. If there are no reviews, it’s important to get team leads and managers to encourage their employees to put up information about their company in order to attract the best talent.- Allison Covarrubias

Developing Your Mobile Strategy

1 Analyze site traffic

Do your research up front. Be sure to solicit help from your web team to find out how much of your career site traffic comes from mobile devices.

2 Avoid“pinch & pop”

If users have to zoom in andout to view what is on yourcareer site, they are not likelyto stick around or apply.

3 Look at the competition’s mobile activity

Evaluate whether your top competitors are using mobile recruiting solutions. If you’re falling behind the competition, this argument may help when pitching mobile to management.

Tips to Implement Your Mobile Strategy

1 Make it quick

One-click job apply is a good way to give users on-the-go a smooth, pain-free experience. Be sure that candidates can easily upload resumes to apply to your job listings.

2 Keep it short

Most candidates are using mobile devices during commutes or lunch breaks. It’s important to condenseyour job descriptions and employer brand messaging to minimal text that is easy to digest on mobile.

3 Optimize all videos and pictures

Limit media to download quickly on a mobile device. Avoid Flash, because this format won’t work on iOS devices (iPhones, iPads,iPod Touches).
