vario MACROElemental Analyzer
•Elemental Analyzer is a combustion technique that determines weight percent carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, sulfur or oxygen in a variety of sample types
•Capable of operating in 3 modes; CHN, CHNS and Oxygen
INTRODUCTION
vario MACRO Elemental Analyzer
•CHNOS elemental analyzers are essential in determination of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulfur in organic matrices and other types of materials.
•CHNS analysis can also determine the N source, total organic and CN ratio.

CHECKLIST BEFORE RUN THE SAMPLE!!!
Temperature : 950˚c, 850˚c & 800˚cMode : CNS mode @ stanbyPressure : 0.8-1.2 barFlow of He gas : 501 mL/minFlow of O2 gas : 10 mL/min80 samples in the autosamplerKey in the data in the table Ready to be run
How does it work???
Result!!!
Area of NCS SOIL = Absorbance of NCS SOIL 1599 = 0.181Area QC TG 1281 = 1281 x 0.181
1599 = 0.145 x 0.21 0.181 = 0.168 N% of QC TG
CALCULATIONS :
CONCLUSION :
• ADVANTAGES : -Zero waste -Rapid process -No chemical usage -Environment free -Decrease the uncertainty
• DISADVANTAGE : -Leaking of gas
