Adding Recipes 1. All dropdown boxes can be typed in. If you begin typing, it will select what you’ve typed 2. Easiest way to add ingredients is to count up number of ingredients in the recipe and click “add ingredient” that many times before entering individual ingredients. (Ingredients are entered individually in order to allow recalculating of amounts for different servings.) 3. Directions can by typed in or copied and pasted. 4. Add any notes that might help someone else preparing this recipe 5. Add an image – landscape oriented photos work best; images can be resized using the resize tool on the site. 6. Tag your recipes with any tags that will help other users when searching recipes 7. Choose for your recipe to be shown publicly or kept private, and then save 8. Create & Edit Shopping List1. From any recipe page, select “Add to 

Shopping List” to add ingredients to list.2. Shopping list will show items already on 

h l ll l dthe list as well as new items you selected to add.  Click “Save Shopping List” to save.

3. Items can be removed, moved up or down the list, and new items can be added by typing in a new item line.

4. For ease while shopping, the shopping list i d f “M A t”is accessed from “My Account” page.

My Account & Cookbook1. Update your profile information and add 

or change avatar.g2. Manage friendships – view other 

members, request friendships, see recent posts or comments by friends, and message friends .

3. View your cookbook, shopping list, friends, and account settings from here.

4. Search within your cookbook only, if you prefer. 

Substitions & Tips1. Search for substitutions for 

most baking & cooking ingredients, and then comment or share.

2. Find tips for common kitchen t k i “ti ” titasks in our “tips” section from the “substitutions” page.

Menu Planner1. Click “Menu Planner” to access your 

saved menus , manage menus or add a new menu.

2. Click “Add an Item” to add a line in which you can type separate items or a day of the week with the menu items for thatthe week with the menu items for that day

3. Name the menu and save it and manage menus for various events or weeks anytime from the “Menu Planner” button

4. Open menus can be edited, deleted, or printed.

Decorative Templates1. From any recipe page choose 

“T l t ” t d l d d ti“Templates” to download decorative recipe card or menu backgrounds for printing.

2. Some templates can be opened in separate window and then recipe content will need to be copied & pasted onto template in order to print; fonts & settings can be adjustedprint; fonts & settings can be adjusted as you wish.

3. Other templates can be downloaded and printed and then used to print recipes or menus.

Special Print Sizes1. From any recipe page, there will be the 

option to print recipe (full‐size page) or additionally to print 4x6 card or 5x8 card.

2. These printing options will still require the p g p quser to set printer options accordingly

Add Images and Video1. Pro users are able to add up to four 

photos for each recipe, instead of only oneone.

2. Also, add a video to your recipe easily; simply embed the video code from YouTube, Vimeo or other video service into the box provided.

Let us add your Recipes1. We enter 20 recipes for our pro users at 

no additional cost.2 Si l d i d i f2. Simply send a pic or scanned image of

3. Any additional recipes added for our pro users are charged at a reduced rate of $ 65 per recipe$.65 per recipe.
