To observe osmosis in a cell.

1.) Place egg in vinegar

2.) Measure the egg.

3.) Measure the size of the egg

4.) Place one egg in a beaker

5.) Weigh and measure the eggs again

PURPOSE

Page 3: Kim's egg osmosis 817

We need to find the weight, size, and look:

Corn Syrup Egg-

Heavier

Bigger

Liquid go into the egg

HYPOTHESIS

Water Egg-

Lighter than the regular weight

Size will stay the same

It will look the same

• They have bubbles

• The egg is sitting on the bottom

• Egg is floating

• More bubbles

CONCLUSION

Water Egg

• It got larger• Egg has lower

concentration• The liquid went to

the eggCorn syrup

• It got smaller• The corn syrup

has lower • Concentration• The egg liquid

went to the corn syrup

My hypothesis is wrong• Opposite of what the

outcome

CONCLUSION

The Corn SyrupThe Water

• Smaller • Harder

• Bigger• Harde

But I was wrong… What happened is the opposite..The Corn Syrup The Water

• Smaller

• Soft

• Smaller• Soft
