• Be found online – LinkedIn public profiles are indexed by search engines

• Demonstrate that you are a thought leader in your field by posting articles, presentations etc to your profile

• Join Groups or use the Answers function to demonstrate how you can add value and make connections with new people

• If you are visiting a potential client, take a look at their personal or company profiles

• Who are your target clients? Use LinkedIn to research the key people you need to contact

• Find new targets – perhaps by joining a relevant Group and noting who the members are / what they need help with

What next? • Set up or edit your LinkedIn profile using the tips provided
