Established in 2011, Sustainable Development Television (SDTV) is a web based TV and

production house, owned by Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). SDTV is

the brainchild of Tahir Dhindsa that was set up in 2011 with an initial seed funding by

SDPI. In a short span of time, it has developed its internal core production facility whereas

a production niche of a satellite channel will be fully functional shortly.

SDTV provides quality video production services to government, non-governmental

organizations, international development agencies, and corporate sector. It’s services

include short video packages, documentaries, talk shows etc. Over the years, SDTV has

developed its expertise in pre-production, (i.e. finalizing the story board to scripting and

field work) to post production (i.e. final editing). Understanding the Value for Money, SDTV

Key Staff

Tahir A. Dhindsa is the Founder, Managing Director of Sustainable

Development Television (sdpi.tv), the pioneering Web-TV in the

region, and the Editor of Sustainable Development Policy Economic

Bulletin (SPEB).

Earlier, he started his career as a journalist with the launch of The

News International in early nineties and subsequently worked for

Daily the Muslim, The Dawn, and Tribune, and the Business

Recorder. He worked for Pakistan Television as news producer, and

the Geo News. He has worked as Pakistan correspondent of CNBS

and the Channel News Asia.

Tahir A. Dhindsa has worked for the World Bank and the UNDP, as

communications specialist and for many years he had been part of

the team responsible to takeout the ‘Pakistan Country Partnership

Report’ of the World Bank. He has also worked in senior position in

the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, as head of

Investors’ education department.
