Previously…I gave an overview of prospecting with posture and confidence and promised to elaborate more on each of the 5 steps in more detail, individually.

Here is the fourth step…

Page 3: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

4. Stay in control of the conversation!

Page 4: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

Always remember that…

"He or she that asks the questions is the one who

is in control!"

Page 5: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

Don’t get the wrong idea… being "in control" doesn't mean being a jerk!

Page 6: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

It's just an assurance and not allowing

yourself to be backed into a corner, bombarded with questions.

YOU ask the questions!

Page 7: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

Sure it's okay to allow the person to ask questions, but once you answer come right

back with a question for them  such as…

Page 8: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

What do you do for a living?Do you love or hate your job?

What would you rather be doing if money weren't an object?

Page 9: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

There also TYPES of questions you can ask…

Page 10: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

1. Leading Questions - "Would you rather make a little bit of money or make a lot of money?"

2. Alternative Closing Questions - "Do you want to pay with Visa, MC or Discover?"

3. Open-Ended Questions -  "Can't you?  Shouldn't it? Won't you?“

... each of which I will cover in more detail later.

Page 11: The Fourth Step to Prospecting with Posture and Confidence

And aside from being in control through being the one asking the questions, you'll also want to maintain control simply by following the previous steps I've covered and just being firm and not coming from a

mindset of need and lack.

Here is a perfect example…
