Facebook continues to surge ahead in user growth and revenue as the company made $2.91 Billion in Q2 2014, a whopping 61% more than what it made in Q2, 2013. It is also the most that the company has earned in a quarter. Facebook now has 1.32 Billion Monthly Active Users (MAUs) as of June 30th, an year-over-year (YoY) increase of 14%. The company made $2.68 Billion through advertising and the rest $234 Million through Payments and other fees, a 9% increase from the same quarter last year. 62% of the advertising revenue came from mobile advertising. Usage of Facebook on mobile is increasing day by day as it now has 654 Million DAUs and 1.07 Billion MAUs. The ever increasing mobile users of the social networking site contributes to the overall company's revenue in a large extent. Mark Zuckerberg, the company's CEO & co-founder on Facebook's Q2 2014. We had a good second quarter, our community has continued to grow, and we see a lot of opportunity ahead as we connect the rest of the world. Mark Zuckerberg is now the 16th richest person in the world after a surge in Facebook stock during the announcement of Facebook’s Q2 2014 results on July 24th, Thursday.
