Hey everybody its Ileane from BasicBlogTips.com

But today I'm over on Facebook and I just wanna share with you a quick tip for all thosefolks that are adding you to groups that you don't even have any interest in.

Here's what you do:

First, in order to monitor those groups, go over to the Facebook homepage you'll seethis section here for groups.

Now as you scroll down the list you going to see that there are some that people inincluded you in without your permission and, once again, you're not interested in. After you locate the groupyou're not interested in (its on the bottom of the list here).

I also noticed that it popped up here over on the side because it was one of the newer groups that someoneadded me to without my permission. So the first thing I want to do is find out WHO added me to that group.

Click on this tab for "members" and more than likely I'm going to be the first person - and you're going to be thefirst person listed under “Members”.

If by some chance you don't see yourself here, just type in your name but then you'll see who added you to thegroup.

Highlight that person's name, go up to the search box, UNFRIEND that person.

Then go back to the group, find the cogwheel over on the left hand side right underneath that banner image(the one that I don't like).

Click LEAVE GROUP

And the second step is to check the box that says "Prevent other members from re-adding you".

Then you're done!

That’s your quick Facebook tip for leaving groups that you're not interested in and un-friending people whoare inviting you to groups. Now please folks, have some etiquette on Facebook!

If you have a group and you want someone to join ask them if they're interested in joining the group beforeadding them. The reason I don't want to be in a bunch of groups - besides the fact that I don't wanna get thosenotifications - I also don't want people to think I endorse groups that I have no interest in. I don't like groupswhere people are constantly posting links to promote their blog posts and that's why the group that I havepeople aren't allowed to post links.

If you're interested in joining that group, it's a support group for blogging and social media. So if you'reinterested in joining just private message me if we're friends on Facebook. If not, you can just give me a shoutout on Twitter @Ileane I hope you've enjoyed watching this video and here's what I'd like you to do.
