BUT John knew his CALLING & MINISTRY

• He came to prepare the way…

• To make the path smooth and open …

• To call the people back to God

He pointed to Jesus as the “Lamb of God”

‘Disciples’ 260 times in NT 230 in the Gospels

Great Commission …

Lives in a “Christian” nation …. Carries a Bible ….

Attends Discipleship group meetings …Knows how to sing Hymns…


The Bible did not define a Disciple BUTThe Bible do record who “cannot be a disciple” ?

A DISCIPLE is one who brings all of life under the Lordship of Christ, obeying and following Him in

fulfilling God's mission


All DISCIPLES are CHRISTIANS

BUT

NOT All CHRISTIANS are DISCIPLES

a Disciple ?

Who is your Peter ?

Who is your Nathanael ?
