Cynthia Mae Langowski was born December 19, 1956 at Grafton, North Dakota, the daughter of Stanley and Doris Langowski. She was reared and educated at Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School. She worked for the library part-time before working at Morgan Printing where she worked for about 10 years. She was united in marriage to Danny Leedahl on August 7, 1987 in Grafton. They made their home in Grafton.  Cindy is survived by her husband, Danny Leedahl; son, Travis Leedahl; and daughter Trisha Leedahl, all of Grafton; her parents, Stanley and Doris Langowski, Grafton; sister Linda Everson, Englewood, CO; brother, Richard, Grafton.

Barbara Lynn Lanigan, age 53 of Grafton, ND passed away suddenly on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks with her sisters at her side to help her crossover.

Barbara Lynn Peterson was born December 5, 1957 to Art and Zelma Peterson of Grafton. She grew up in Grafton and graduated from the Grafton Central School in 1976. In May of 1976 she married Mike Lembcke. They moved to Minnesota where they raised three boys Chris, Curtis, and Jesse. Mike died unexpectedly in July of 1999. Barb continued to raise her boys in Paynesville. She met Jerry Lanigan and married him May 19, 2006. Jerry and Barb moved back to North Dakota. Barb worked for Friendship and the Developmental Center until bad health forced Barb to quit her job in March of 2011. Barb started to enjoy her grandchildren more, time with Jerry, and just enjoying life.

Barb is survived by her husband Jerry, Grafton, ND; sons: Chris (Joyce), Mankato, MN; Curtis (Brittanie), Park River, ND; and Jesse, Grafton, ND; several grandchildren; Mom Zelma Peterson, Grafton, ND; sisters: Karen Haggerty, Grafton, ND; Cindy (Ron) Passa, Salt Lake City, UT; Debbie Hajicek, Grafton, ND; Kathy (Vern) Barta, Hillsboro, ND; Phyllis Hoverson, Sandy, UT; and Maribeth Lindenberg, Grafton, ND. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Art and husband Mike.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Grafton. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service

TIM SEVIGNY

TIM SEVIGNYTim Sevigny finished his adventures here on earth and began his journeys in Heaven on April 5, 2011. He was born on August 22, 1958 and adopted by his loving parents, Wilfrid and Marcella Byzewski Sevigny. Tim embraced life and lived it to the fullest. Growing up in Grafton, North Dakota, he became an Eagle Scout and he played ice hockey all of his life. He went to University of North Dakota on a hockey scholarship and then was drafted to play NHL hockey with the Minnesota North Stars and the Winnepeg Jets. After a knee injury forced him to leave NHL hockey, he ran his parents appliance store and started his own computer company in Grafton. Later, he moved to California and worked for various companies such as Ameriquest, Allied Signal, CBR Systems, Power Computers, Advanced Interlink Systems, and most recently, Northrup Grumman. He had the ability to problem solve throughout his life. Tim had a variety of interests, but seemed to always excel in anything he did. He built his own motorcycle, was once ranked 11th in the nation in shooting, and enjoyed fresh water fishing, and cooking along with having a good time with family and friends. Tim's "can do" attitude along with his compassion, warmth, smile, and intelligence brought him close to the hearts of many. He will be especially missed by his brother, Douglas Sevigny, his love, Andi St. John, step-children, Tyler and Mandy St. John, and grandchildren, Kaylee Cosenza and Riley Sage. Tim will forever live on in the hearts of family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, at 6:00 p.m. at 1st United Methodist Church of Redondo Beach, 243 S. Broadway, Torrance, CA. Donations in Tim's name can be made to the 1st United Methodist Church of Redondo Beach.
