Opening Prayer (In Unison) In the afterglow of the centennial celebration, our mouths are still filled with praise. As we celebrate the abundance that you have provided; as we remember the victories that you have granted; as we consider the mercy, grace and favor that you have extended, what else could we do but praise you? Lord, you are good and your mercy endures forever. You are good all the time. Your mercy is wonderful when we acknowledge it and even when we are not aware of it. You keep us in the safety of your arms. Even our troubles are just vehicles of blessing in disguise. Empower us now to trust you in all of life, knowing that you are constantly and consistently with us in it all and through it all. We give you praise. Amen. Unison Scripture Reading: Matthew 1:1-5; 16-17 (TMSG) 1 The family tree of Jesus Christ, David’s son, Abraham’s son: 2 Abraham had Isaac, Isaac had Jacob, Jacob had Judah and his brothers, 3 Judah had Perez and Zerah (the mother was Tamar), Perez had Hezron, Hezron had Aram, 4 Aram had Amminadab, Amminadab had Nahshon, Nahshon had Salmon, 5 Salmon had Boaz (his mother was Rahab), Boaz had Obed (Ruth was the mother), Obed had Jesse, 16 Jacob had Joseph, Mary’s husband, the Mary who gave birth to Jesus, the Jesus who was called Christ. 17 There were fourteen generations from Abraham to David, another fourteen from David to the Babylonian exile, and yet another fourteen from the Babylonian exile to Christ. God, we love you and the genuine expression of love is giving. You showed your love for us first by giving us your Son. We demonstrate our love for you by giving now a portion of what you have given to us. We give freely. We give cheerfully. We will not rob you. Instead, we will worship you by giving from our heart. You are our #1 priority. We will not treat banks or bills better than we treat you because you deserve all the glory, the honor and the praise. We refuse to live under a curse. Therefore, in obedience to your Word, we bring our tithe and our offering to you today. PUT your promise into action! Open the windows of heaven and provide what we need for our desires and our destiny!

POUR into our lives the phenomenal and spectacular by releasing a blessing that is beyond our wildest dreams!

PROTECT everything that we currently have and do not permit the enemy to abort anything that you are trying to give us for our future. The tithe is what we owe, the offering is seed we sow. We sow now with the expectation of jobs and better jobs, of businesses and greater businesses, of raises and bonuses, of houses and land, of freedom from debt and supernatural increase. Bless us indeed and enlarge our territory as we live for your glory. Alleluia! In the mighty, matchless and miraculous name of Jesus, we confess. Amen!

34th Street Church mission can be summed up in this phrase: “empower you to grow into all God created you to be.” Followers of Jesus are lifelong learners and the spiritual journey is not meant to be alone. At 34th Street Church, we believe that life is a team sport – best done together and as our church grows larger, we must also grow smaller. Small groups are “learning communities” that serve as a great way to grow in your relationship with God and make a difference in the community. We encourage everyone to be involved in group life because it’s there where you will meet new people while growing in your faith.
