JOY of Living Exodus

Pesach Hebrew for Passover

Therefore, tell the Israelites, I am the Lord. I will bring you out from your enslavement to the Egyptians, I will rescue you from the hard labor they impose, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you to myself for a people, and I will be your God.

Exodus 6:6-7

The Cup of Sanctification I will bring you out

The Cup of Plagues I will free you

The Cup of Redemption I will redeem you

The Cup of Praise - I will take you

Exodus 6:6-7

Blessed are you, O Lord our God, ruler of the universe, who has set us apart by his word, and in whose name we light the festival lights.

Haggadah means the telling

Haggadah means the telling

Why is this night different from all other nights?

On all other nights we eat either bread or matzah; on this night, why only matzah?

2. On all other nights we eat herbs or vegetables of any kind; on this night why bitter herbs?

3. On all other nights we do not dip even once; on this night why do we dip twice?

4. On all other nights we eat our meals in any manner; on this night why do we sit around the table together in a reclining position?

He was wounded because of our rebellious deeds, crushed because of our sins;he endured punishment that made us well;because of his wounds we have been healed.Isaiah 53:5

I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.Zechariah 12:10

But Jesus called them and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them. It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Matthew 20:25-28

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to his disciples, and said, Take, eat, this is my body. And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, that is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.Matthew 26:26-28

Then Jesus said, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Luke 22:20

Look, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. He will encourage fathers and their children to return to me, so that I will not come and strike the earth with judgment.Malachi 4:5

While they were going away, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? What did you go out to see? A man dressed in fancy clothes? Look, those who wear fancy clothes are in the homes of kings! What did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written:

Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you,who will prepare your way before you.

Matthew 11:7-15

Then a measuring rod like a staff was given to me, and I was told, Get up and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and the ones who worship there. But do not measure the outer courtyard of the temple; leave it out, because it has been given to the Gentiles, and they will trample on the holy city for forty-two months. And I will grant my two witnesses authority to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth. (These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.) If anyone wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouths and completely consumes their enemies. If anyone wants to harm them, they must be killed this way. These two have the power to close up the sky so that it does not rain during the time they are prophesying. They have power to turn the waters to blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague whenever they want.Revelation 11:1-6
