Robert, otherwise known as Robert The Doll, Robert The Haunted Doll or Robert The Enchanted Doll, is a doll that was once owned by Key West painter Robert Eugene Otto. The doll is alleged to be possessed by spirits, having a terrifying reputation.

HISTORY1. Supposedly, Eugene was given the

doll in 1906 by a Bahamian servant who was displeased with the family. Soon afterward, the family supposed that there was something spooky about the doll. Eugene's parents often heard him talking to the doll and supposed that the doll spoke back. Although at first they assumed that Eugene was simply answering himself in a changed voice, they claimed to have later realized that the doll was actually speaking.

2. Neighbours claimed to have seen the doll moving from window to window when the family was out. Sometimes the doll would emit a terrifying giggle, and the Otto family caught glimpses of it running from room to room. In the night Eugene would scream, and when his parents ran to the room, they would find furniture knocked over and Eugene in bed, looking incredibly scared, telling them that “Robert did it!”. In addition, guests claim to have seen Robert’s expression change before their eyes and he often blinked.

3. When Eugene died in 1974, the doll was left in the attic until the house was bought again. The new family included a ten-year old girl, who became Robert’s new owner. It wasn’t not long before the girl began screaming out in the night, claiming that Robert moved about the room and even attempted to attack her on multiple occasions. More than 30 years later, she still tells interviewers that the doll was alive and wanted to kill her. Robert Eugene Otto, the

ASSUMED REASONS

It is a hoax or maybe a misunderstanding of the people.

It is believed that the Bahamian servant who gave the doll to Eugene was knowing black magic & voodoo and so, he hoodooed the doll for causing harm to the Otto family.

HISTORY In 1970, a mother purchased a Raggedy

Ann doll in a second-hand store as a gift for her daughter, Donna, who was studying nursing in Hartford, Connecticut.

One day, on the breakfast table, Annabelle straightened out her arms and put them on the table!

From there, things really became strange. Soon afterward, Donna and her roommate, Angie, would often come home to find Annabelle on the couch, knowing that they had left her locked in Donna’s room.

After a few days, Donna and Angie noticed Annabelle slightly changing positions.

One day, Annabelle attacked Lou, a friend of Donna.

It was also found that ones who either insulted or made fun of the doll, had to risk their lives.

MYSTERIOUS ACCIDENTS

A priest who insulted Annabelle was reportedly involved in a near-fatal car crash after the visit.

Two of the Occult museum visitors, a couple, reportedly crashed their motorcycle after poking fun at the doll’s abilities.

The man, said to have slammed on Annabelle’s case, died instantly after crashing into a tree in his route returning to home from the museum.

UNPROVED REASONS

Donna had called a spiritualist to analyze Annabelle. He concluded saying that doll was possessed by the spirit of a seven-year old dead girl, Annabelle Higgins.

Warrens, well-known demonologists said that it was not any usual spirit but, a demon.

The Warrens took Annabelle to their museum, the Warren Occult Museum, and placed it with the sign, "WARNING: Positively Do Not Touch”.
