CONSEQUENCES OF SIN

Both physical and spiritual deathRomans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

A place of eternal deathRomans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A place of tormentRevelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

GOD’S GREAT DESIRE

That none should perish2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

That none should be condemnedJohn 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

By dying on the cross, Jesus became our:

Sin-bearer1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

IGNORANT and can not UNDERSTANDJohn 3:4  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

The lost are: HELPLESS and can not ENTERJohn 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

SINFUL and first birth is REJECTEDJohn 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

DEPRAVED and new birth is a MUSTActs 13:39  And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
