One Person Can Make A Difference Would you go back in time and kill Hitler if you had the chance? Imagine what the world would look like today if World War II had never happened? Where would we be today in terms of peace, science, health, economy, understanding of the world, had those people never been killed? Had this potential never been destroyed? And what is the cause of the difference between what you've just imagined and what actually happened and became our reality? One person. I can remember being a child and dreaming about being a hero, just like those I saw in the movies and in cartoons. They impressed and inspired me with their strength and confidence, their refusal to give up in spite of great challenges. And even if it seemed like nothing could save the situation, they somehow managed to pull it off. One character that particularly sticks out in my mind is Neo, from the movie “The Matrix”. If you remember, Neo truly became The One when he actually started believing that he was The One. His belief in himself allowed him face his enemy instead of running away. I can remember dreaming and hoping that I was special and that somehow I would get to live the life that I'd imagined. Years went by, and I kept hoping. I continued doing that until the day that I decided in my heart to believe that I was special and that my life could have an impact on the world.

One Person Can Make A Difference

Would you go back in time and kill Hitler if you had the chance?

How do you start believing something? You just pick a thought and repeat it in your mind or aloud over and over again.

Imagine for a second two worlds. In the first one the people believe that their life is meaningless, that others can but they can't, that nothing they do has any purpose other that surviving till the next day. What does this world look like? ….........You tell me.

Now imagine the second world, in which every single individual has a deep conviction within themselves, a belief that they and their life are special, unique. They know that if one person can do something, everybody can do it as well. They live every single day knowing that what they do matters, even if they are unable to see it at the moment.

Take a few seconds and just think, which world would you rather live in? Which world would you like your children to live in?

I used to think that some people were worse that others, but you know what?, that belief had over time given me so much pain that I'd just had enough of it. I'd had enough looking down on people who were just like me, I'd had enough of hate and distrust, I'd had enough of thinking about others in a way that I would not like to be thought about!

And I chose to change that forever. Period.

I believe that every single person on this planet is unique and special and has something to give. I believe that every single person can make a difference in this world, no matter how big or small.

How do I know if I'm making a difference? If I make even one person smile, I've done my job.

Do you believe you can make a difference? The answer to that question, my friend, is up to you.
