For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,  teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Repent of Sin

Mark 1: 15

Matthew 5:17-20

And to be saved from Evil

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

Job 26:9-14

He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it.He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.  He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smites the proud.  By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the crooked serpent. Yes, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

Romans 6:4

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Revelation 21:1-4

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
