Surah Al-Baqarah

RESHAPE YOUR LIFE IN LIGHT OF QURAN

Surah Al-Baqarah

Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed

upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill

your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me. (40)

اسرائیل بنی اے ساتھ میرے ،تھی کی عطا کو تم نے میں جو کا نعمت اس میری کرو خیال ذرا !

گا کروں پورا میں اسے تھا ساتھ تمہارے عہد جو میرا تو ،کرو پورا تم اسے تھا عہد جو تمھارا

ڈرو تم سے ہی مجھ اور

يا بني إسرائيل اذكروا نعمتي التي أنعمت عليكم وأوفوا

اي فارهبون بعهدي أوف بعهدكم وإي

COVENANT OF ALLAH

• Bani Israel----Descendants of Yaqoob(AS)

• Allah’s greatest favour on them was choosing them for

leading the mankind and sending Prophets from amongst

them.

• They were supposed to adhere to Torah and believe in

their prophets

• In return Allah will give them dignity,honour and power

Surah Al-Baqarah

ل كافر به قا لما معكم ول تكونوا أو ول وآمنوا بما أنزلت مصد

قون اي فات تشتروا بآياتي ثمنا قليل وإي

And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is

[already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do

not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. (41)

تمہارے جو ہے میں تائید کی کتاب اس یہ الؤ ایمان پر اس ہے بھیجی کتاب جو نے میں اور

پر قیمت تھوڑی جاؤ بن نہ منکر کے اس ہی تم پہلے سے سب لہذا ،تھی موجود سے پہلے پاس

بچو سے غضب میرے ر او ڈالو بیچ نہ کو آیات میری

ول تلبسوا الحق بالباطل وتكتموا الحق وأنتم تعلمون

And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth

while you know [it]. (42)

کوشش کی چھپانے کو حق بوجھتے جانتے نہ اور بناؤ نہ مشتبہ کو حق کر چڑھا رنگ کا باطل

کرو

اكعين كاة واركعوا مع الر لة وآتوا الز وأقيموا الص

And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who

bow [in worship and obedience]. (43)

جھک بھی تم ساتھ کے ان ہیں رہے جھک آگے میرے لوگ جو اور دو زکوۃ ،کرو قائم نماز

جاؤ

SIGNS OF EMAAN

• an outward expression of faith in Allah and submission before Him

Salat

• Shows commitment towards rights of fellow human beings

• They had left praying and got involved in Riba instead of paying Zakah

Zakat

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER Narrated 'Abdullah bin Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "The prayer in congregation is twenty seven times superior to the prayer offered by person alone." (Bukhari)

Surah AL BAQARA

اس بالبر وتنسون أنفسكم وأنت أتأمرون الن أفل م تتلون الكتا

تعقلون

Do you order righteousness of the people and forget

yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not

reason? (44)

Surah Al-Baqarah

جاتے بھول کو آپ اپنے مگر ،ہو کہتے لیے کے کرنے اختیار راستہ کا نیکی تو کو دوسروں تم

لیتے؟ نہیں کام ہی بالکل سے عقل تم کیا ہو کرتے تالوت کی کتاب تم حاالنکہ ہو؟

PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH The Prophet (saw) said: “A man will be brought forth on the Day of Resurrection and thrown into the Fire. Then his entrails will be spilled out into the Fire, and he will be forced to walk around and around like a donkey in a mill. The people of Hell will gather around him and will say, ‘O So-and-so, what is wrong with you? Did you not enjoin us to do good and forbid us to do evil?’ He will say, ‘I used to order you to do good, but I did not do it myself, and I used to forbid you to do evil, but I used to do it myself.’ Then he will walk around and around like a donkey in a mill.” (Bukhari)

Surah AL BAQARA

لة بر والص ها لكبيرة واستعينوا بالص إل على الخاشعين وإن

And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is

difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah](45)

Surah Al-Baqarah

ہے کام مشکل سخت ایک نماز بیشک ،لو مدد سے نماز اور صبر

CONNECTION BETWEEN SALAH AND SABR

Both source of help in turbulent times

Not possible to reach the desired state of Salah without Sabar

Both require a deep state of ‘Khushoo’ to be implemented

Supreme forms of ‘Submission’ to Allah

An expression of Gratitude and Contentment over ‘Ridha’ of Allah

Surah AL BAQARA

هم إ هم وأن لقو رب هم م ليه راجعون الذين يظنون أن

Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they

will return to Him. (46)

Surah Al-Baqarah

اپنے انہیں کار آخر کہ ہیں سمجھتے جو ہے نہیں مشکل لیے کے بندوں بردار فرماں ان مگر

ہے جانا کر پلٹ طرف کی اسی اور ملنا سے رب

لتكم على يا بني إسرائيل اذكروا نعمتي التي أنعمت ع ليكم وأني ف

العالمين

O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have

bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the

worlds. (47)

Surah Al-Baqarah

اسرائیل بنی اے کو بات اس اور تھا نوازا تمہیں نے میں سے جس ،کو نعمت اس میری کرو یاد !

تھی کی عطا فضیلت پر قوموں ساری کی دنیا تمہیں نے میں کہ

فس شيئا ول قوا يوما ل تجزي نفس عن ن ول يقبل منها شفاعة وات

يؤخذ منها عدل ول هم ينصرون

And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at

all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will

compensation be taken from it, nor will they be aided. (48)

Surah Al-Baqarah

سفارش سے طرف کی کسی نہ ،گا آئے نہ کام ذرا کے کسی کوئی جب سے دن اس ڈرو اور

مل مدد سے کہیں کو مجرموں نہ اور ،گا جائے چھوڑا کر لے فدیہ کو کسی نہ ،ہوگی قبول

گی سکے

ن آل فرعون يسومونكم سوء ا يناكم م وإذ نج يذبحون لعذا

لكم بل أبناءكم ويستحيون نساءكم كم عظيم وفي ذ ب ء من ر

And [recall] when We saved your forefathers from the people of

Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your

[newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great

trial from your Lord. (49)

Surah Al-Baqarah

میں آگ وہ ،گے جھٹالئیں کو آیات ہماری اور گے کریں انکار سے کرنے قبول کو اس جو اور

گے رہیں ہمیشہ وہ جہاں ،ہیں لوگ والے جانے

آل فرعون وأنتم تنظرون وإذ فرقنا بكم البحر فأنجيناكم وأغرقنا

And [recall] when We parted the sea for you and saved you

and drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking

on. (50)

Surah Al-Baqarah

تمہیں سے میں اس پھر ،بنایا راستہ لیے تمہارے کر پھاڑ سمندر نے ہم جب ،وقت وہ کرو یاد

کیا غرقاب کو فرعونوں سامنے کے آنکھوں تمہاری وہیں پھر ،دیا گزروا بخیریت
