Living Fruitfully As A Family1. GOD STARTED the FAMILY

Gen 2:20-23 “... the Lord God caused the man to fall

into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh.

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,‘ for she was taken out of man."


2. GOD BLESSED the FAMILYGen 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

GOD BLESSED THEM and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

John 2:11 This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him."

18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

Deut 6:6-9These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

How many are 1st G Xtians?How many 2nd Gen ?3rd Gen ?Any 4th Gen ?

This Generation....

This generation do not ring the doorbell.

They’ll text or call to say they’re outside.

“Yes, Mom, I am studying.”

TEXT-ing + Face-BOOK = TEXTBOOK

PROCRASTINATOR ?No. I just wait until the

last second to do my work ....

because I will be older, therefore wiser.

If YouTube, Facebook & Google were

school subjects,my parents would be so proud of me.

The Flame of Faith must be faithfully passed onto the next generation and not be allowed to extinguishReminder : Not just passing on the baton...

BUT Running the Race Together



1ST GENERATION :Joshua 24:15 “... But as for me and my

household, we will serve the Lord ."

KNOW GOD

>>> REALITY of Faith

CONVICTION

that leads to

COMMITMENT


2ND GENERATION : Joshua 24:31 “Israel served the Lord

throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel.”

KNOW ABOUT GOD>>> ROUTINE of Faith

CONVINENCE that leads to ...CARELESSNESS


3RD GENERATION :Judges 2:10 “.... another generation grew up, who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.”

KNOW NOT GOD

>>> REJECTION of Faith

COMPROMISE that leads to ...

CONFUSION....


WHY ??“Living

FRUITFULLYas a Family”

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the FRUIT OF THE WOMB a

reward.” Psa 127:3 ESV
