About KPT Summer League

KPT is a professional training and rehabilitation program that has an extensive background dealing with professional and collegiate athletes. KPT summer

league will provide a fun, competitive, safe atmosphere for our athletes to stay in shape and remain competitive throughout the summer months. We look

forward to growing and upgrading the talent in the league every year! We want the fans to remain dedicated to out community while watching some of their favorite players compete. We will also provide a place for coaches and scouts

to come out and evaluate great talent.

KPT has found a need for a summer league that will keep the community connected to our collegiate and professional teams here in Indy. For the most part, athletes usually plan to travel back to their hometowns during the off-season to find themselves “maybe” finding a pick-up game once or twice a

month. This can be very strenuous on the consistency that it takes to stay in shape and get better as a player.

The Jungle

“The Jungle” located in downtown Indianapolis on the campus of IUPUI is the official home of the Indy

Pro Am Summer League providing a fun and safe atmosphere for athletes to compete, maintain

conditioning and improve their skills for the upcoming season.

About Indy Pro Am

In 2011, Indy Pro Am enters its third year as the main source of exciting and competitive basketball in Indianapolis. Top professional, semi-professional and collegiate athletes compile the summer league rosters and are attended by an experienced IPA staff that has an extensive history of working with athletes in various facets of the basketball community.

Carlos Knox (CEO & President)

Carlos Knox, CEO of Knox Pro Train LLC, has a long list of basketball history. He specializes in working with NBA/WNBA players on skill development and mentoring. In doing so, Knox organized one of the best Pro Am Basketball League’s in the Midwest.

Knox has coached six years professionally. He began his coaching career at his Alma Mater IUPUI in 2003. He then took his passion and guidance to the professional level coaching the Indiana Alleycats (CBA), Pittsburg Explosion (CBA) and his current role as a coach in the Middle East. Carlos also is a player development consultant for the Indiana Fever (WNBA).

As a player, Knox was a 2-time NCAA scoring Champion, Hall of Fame inductee, as well as a 5 year professional player including being a member of the hometown Indiana Pacers.

Brandon Cameron (Executive Director)

Brandon Cameron has been with KPT since 2007: he has served as chief consultant and trainer for the program. Brandon brings more than 15 years of basketball experience to the Indy Pro Am.

After leading Gary West Side to its only Indiana State Championship in 202, Cameron went on to be named to the prestigious Indiana All-Star team, he then went on to play for Penn State University. Cameron then transferred and finished his collegiate career at IUPUI.

Cameron brings a new approach to the athletic training: focusing equal amounts of energy to physical and mental aspects of performance. A true student of the game of basketball, his primary specialty is point guard skill development and teaching a true understand of the position.

The 2011 KPT Pro Am Basketball League was created to ignite massive change to off season basketball in the Midwest, and to inspire action to help create an environment where there is no room for failure.
