A GIMBAL for cameras is a

pivoted support that allows therotation (roll, pitch and yaw) of anobject and also allows an objectmounted to remain independent ofthe movements of its support,keeping the camera pointed at thesame place despite motion of theQuad flight. It highly improvesimage quality and stability whenrecording videos and photos.A gimbal basically counteractschanges in the aircraft’smovements to keep the camera assteady as possible. For example: 1)When the Quad suddenly pitchesdown due to a headwind, thegimbal will pitch (tilt) up a bit tocompensate. 2) If the aircraft rotatea bit, gimbal set will counteract thismotion by rolling a bit in reverse tonegate this motion. 3) If there is apitch and a roll at the same time abit of the yaw component will beneeded to counteract this complexmotion and keep things aligned.
