Myths Followed By Facts1. Myth: Very few people have really seen a UFO...

Fact: According to a Roper poll conducted in 2002 for the SciFi channel, one in seven Americans say they or someone they know has had an experience involving a UFO...

2. Myth: UFOs are only reported by uneducated farmers in places you've never heard of... Fact: A study by the U.S. Air Force showed that the most puzzling UFO reports came from people who had the best technical backgrounds. They are reported from everyplace where there are people, though fewer are seen from big cities because less of the sky is visible.

3. Myth: UFOs are only seen by Americans... Fact: UFOs have been seen wherever there are people. Every continent has had its share, as has almost every country, though local interest plays a role in the apparent level of activity. Wherever there is someone interested in searching out UFO reports, they will be found, but that doesn't mean the investigator lives in a center of activity.

What Is Project Blue Book

Project Blue Book was one of a series of systematic studies of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) conducted by the United States Air Force (U.S.A.F.). It was conducted between 1952-1969.

Project Blue Book had two goals:1. to determine if UFOs were a threat to

national security2. to scientifically analyze UFO-related data

Page 6: An Introduction To UFOs

End To Project Blue Book• Project Blue Book was ordered shut down in December

1969 and the Air Force continues to provide the following summary of its investigations:

• No UFO reported, investigated and evaluated by the Air Force was ever an indication of threat to our national security;

• There was no evidence submitted to or discovered by the Air Force that sightings categorized as "unidentified" represented technological developments or principles beyond the range of modern scientific knowledge; and

• There was no evidence indicating that sightings categorized as "unidentified" were extraterrestrial vehicles

Signs Of UFO• Travel with the wind direction. Please note that the wind direction at ground

level is not necessarily the same at the height at which the lantern is travelling .This may give the appearance that it is travelling against the wind.

• Single or multiple formations. Lanterns in multiple formations may be seen crossing over and coming close to each other.

• No sound• Sometimes erratic movements as they are buffeted by air currents.• Inner glow• Sometimes sparks or burning parts falling of during travel.• Generally flying lower than a commercial aircraft.• May suddenly distinguish as though someone’s turned a light off. Depending

on light conditions the lantern may be seen to still be travelling as a dark object on for a short before falling to earth.

• Drifting on the wind rather than controlled motion.

Some Sightings1927-Oregon. Taken in Cave Junction, Oregon. There is some question as to whether the photo was taken in '26 or '27, but nonetheless, if this is an authentic photograph it is incredible. Reportedly snapped by a volunteer fireman

May 8, 1950 This is one of the most famous UFO pictures ever taken. Photographed by Paul Trent, and first witnessed by his wife

• 1957-All I have in my notes is that the photo was taken in December 1957, by the radio officer aboard the naval ship S. S. Ramsey. It was seen on deck, hovering in the sky. The radio officer grabbed his camera and took this picture before the object disappeared.

In the approach phase to WESTAR VI, the video camera on board the Space Shuttle Discovery "STS-51a" manages to film a light metal coloured sphere which comes from the left and then disappears to the right

1971, Moon. Apollo 14, In this shot, the shape of the object looks like the one of a flying

saucer with lights!

Apollo 16 mission was composed of astronauts Ken Mattingly, Charlie Duke and John W. Young, who made the video. On the film can be observed a dish like unidentified flying object while Apollo 16 approaches to the moon.

2. Location of Sighting: Saffron Walden, EssexDate of Sighting: 30th December 2010Time: Approx 22:15Witness Name: David HigginsWitness Statement: I was walking home with three other people and noticed what I thought was a plane or a satellite approaching from the NE. It was a clear night.

There was no sound. My son in law who is a pilot (and was with me) said it was not a plane because the light we saw was not navigation lights. It appeared as though the object was on fire as it was bright orange in color. It crossed the night sky heading SW, travelling very fast and suddenly vanished from sight, not because it was too far away to see, it just suddenly vanished. We thought it was probably a comet that had entered the atmosphere and burnt out.It was definitely not a lantern.

Movies based on UFO or Alien Abduction

1. ET

During an alien landing, the landing is suddenly cut short due to the arrival of curious onlookers. This means one of the ET's is accidently left behind. Seeking refuge in a family's home, this is a feel-good movie about the bonding of a young boy with an extra-terrestrial... and the inevitable government takeover.

ET is a fact based film because there are numerous cases throughout history of this sort of thing happening. In Puerto Rico, Brazil, Mexico and Florida... the notorious Chupacabra has been sighted in the wild. Many Brazillian residents have also clamed to have seen other alien species in the wild also.

2. Signs

Crop circles are appearing in a rural farmer's corn crops. Is it the work of the local hooligans? The sheriff says it's not. So what's doing it? The crop circles continue... and the local Army general predicts an eerie and frightening scenario. What do they mean?

Signs is perhaps the worst alien movie ever made that deals with real phenomena, but that's also what makes it important to list here. It deals with crop circles. In reality, there has never been any indication that crop circles are used as a navigation device to coordinate a mass invasion or raid, as this poor movie suggests. However, crop circles do happen, and the more realistic explanations of them, is that their mathematical and geometric measurements contain hidden messages and values.

3. Incident At Roswell

This movie tells the events virtually exactly how they happened. A New Mexico farmer finds strange crash debris on his farm. Upon reporting it to the local Air Force base, the military quickly quarantines the area and removes the debris, 1 crashed spaceship, and 3-4 alien bodies. One still alive. The next day the press publishes a feature article "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer". However... the cover-up quickly comes into play. People are threatened to keep their mouths shut, the evidence is all confiscated, and the cover story is put in place... "It's just a weather balloon".

This movie is important because it tells in a pseudo-fiction format, something that really happened all those years ago. This one event marked the rise of the UFO phenomena of the last 50 years.

There has been many more UFO sightings.

But to list all of them in this presentation is not possible. You can find them here:
