In The Beginning (3000 B.C.E)
3000 B.C.E: Darvindian speaking people developed the civilization of the Indus Valley
It was the earliest civilization made by the ancient Indians.
The Indus Valley civilization grows up along the banks of the Indus River in what is now Pakistan
The two most important sites uncovered so far by archeologists are Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro
2500 B.C.E 2500 B.C.E the Indus valley civilizations go through an upgrade
There were two new cities
Harapa and Mohenjo-Daro
Advanced sewer system is designed in Mohenjodaro
Cultural exchange between the indus Valley civilization and Mesopotamia is especially prominent
2000 B.C.E Indo-Aryans invade and they take out the dravidians
The civilization of the Indus Valley declines
The Kurgan culture spreads to eastern Europe and northern Iran
1500 B.C.E The Aryans invade the Indus Valley region
Through the path that was used for trade
Religious texts are written in Vedic, an Indo-European language
1000 B.C.E The big Veda, the first Vedic literature is written a big step in their
communication skills and now they not only can verbally communicate but now they can write
900-100 B.C.E 876 b.c.e- The Hindus invent the zero 800 b.c.e- The Bramans, priestly castle, begin to emerge 800-500 b.c.e - The Upanishads are written around this time; the
doctrines of rebirth and the transmigration of souls start to appear, leading to important theological transformations within Hinduism
563 b.c.e – Gautama Siddharta Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, is born somewhere in what is today Nepal
540 b.c.e – Mahavira, the founder of Jainism, is born 537 b.c.e – Cyrus the Eprsian campaigns west of the Indus River 517-509 b.c.e – Darius the Persian defeat
900 B.C.E – 100 B.C.E (cont.)
527 b.c.e- prince Siddhartha Gautama is in tightened and becomes the Buddha
Bimbisara dies and is succeeded by Ajatasgatru
250 b.c.e- Buddhist carve the first cave temples
