• The newspaper which our advert will be put in is The Metro as it is free and targets the same target audience as our documentary

• Our double page spread will be put into the listing magazine Time Out

Ideas

• We took pictures for our newspaper advert and double page spread in Sainsbury’s supermarket.

• One picture was of our three titles in a basket full of food to symbolise a journey through consumerism as we carry baskets around full of food which is potentially money being spent.

• Our second picture was of food and women's underwear on a conveyer belt in the supermarket to show the sexualisation of food and also the journey.

Location

• We took these pictures in Sainsburys as it is a supermarket full of food.

• We also needed a conveyer belt and baskets which were only found in these places, the reason we did not take them in Mark’s and Spencers was because of the bright lights.

Inspirations

• As our documentary is being shown on Channel 4 we researched Channel 4 adverts.

• This website gave us a breakdown of channel 4 adverts including the texts, colours and images. http://www.channel4.com/about_c4/styleguide/downloads/C4StyleGuide1.1.pdf

These adverts are channel 4 adverts and all quite similar in their layout.

They all follow the conventions of adverts.
