Bioinformatics
Bioinformatics is the application of computer technology to the management of biological information.
Computers are used to gather, store, analyze and integrate biological and genetic information which can then be applied to gene-based drug discovery and development.
Bioinformatics
The need for Bioinformatics capabilities has been precipitated by the explosion of publicly available genomic information resulting from the Human Genome Project.
Bioinformatics
The science of Bioinformatics, which is the melding of molecular biology with computer science, is essential to the use of genomic information in understanding human diseases and in the identification of new molecular targets for drug discovery. In recognition of this, many universities, government institutions and pharmaceutical firms have formed bioinformatics groups, consisting of computational biologists and bioinformatics computer scientists.
Bioinformatics
the analysis of biological information using computers and statistical techniques; the science of developing and utilizing computer databases and algorithms to accelerate and enhance biological research. Bioinformatics is particularly important as an adjunct to genomics research, because of the large volume of complex data generated

Protocols
protocols: a schedule of scientific investigation; an experimental procedure or series of such procedures.
Written procedures providing basic guidelines for the management (diagnosis and treatment) of specific types of medical and dental patient care emergencies.
Clinical guidelines are recommendations based on the latest available evidence for the appropriate treatment and care of a patient’s condition.
Protocols
A protocol is a blueprint for the trial, which describes how the trial will proceed, what types of patients will be eligible for the trial, the number of patients required, the type of care they will receive and so on. ...
