1953BPT is born; Right away, the company is driven by a vocation for technological innovation and, by going to market with its cutting-edge products, it soon grows quickly.

The 60sBPT claims fame for some authentic "inventions" of modern society: the backlit, named door bells, the intercom plates, the speak-listen intercom and the historic Flint piezoelectric gas lighter. BPT products are immediately characterised by two essential features, still today: user friendliness and immediate applicability.

1970Paolo Menuzzo, founder and current President of the Group, realises his ideas for automating the first gates.

1972Came Cancelli Automatici is established.

The 1980sThe first digital, daily, cursor-operated, chrono-thermostat is patented. This revolutionises the way temperature is managed according to time-frames. Also, the first, original video intercom system for residential use is also created.

1984The design for the first access control, retractable bollard isreleased.

- Thanks to Mr Paolo Menuzzo's intuition, Came, besides making residential automatic-gate operators, also starts making the first product lines dedicated to access control in large public and collective facilities.

- Fin-men, the holding company that controls the group's operations companies, is established. In 2009 Fin-Men becomes Came Group.

- The integration of various technologies and growing know-how enable BPT to draft projects in the promising international home-automation market.Home Sapiens is a range of state-of-the-art, seamlessly intercommunicating, products and solutions for providing living comfort. The system is completed with the new Home Lighting business unit, now a player in the LED illumination industry with the brand name Domino Led.
