LEED® v. 3 2009• Task Force Mission:

• (1) Identify local/regional sustainability issues and determine what LEED® rating credits for a project should receive up to four (4) extra points in order to address those issues. They must be

defined as Environmental Zones (EZ’s) and identified by zip codes.

• (2) Provide a map and zip code list for each EZ to USGBC National within ten (10) weeks.

• (3) Keep to the principals of Dynamic Governance.

• The final National Regionalization Product will be presented at• GreenBuild®-2008 in Boston this November.

REGIONALIZATION CREDITS

LEED® v. 3 2009• Collaboration Efforts• (1) West Michigan Chapter (WMI): coordination and collaboration

on definitions of EZs, point objectives, zip code list and GIS data set for all of Michigan.

• (2) Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA): coordination on final EZ mapping products, zip code list and GIS data set for all of Wisconsin.

• (3) Heartland Regional Chapters (HLR): coordination on composite zip code list for all 14 Heartland Chapters and developed a

composite HLR GIS map set.

• (4) The Heartland Regionalization Composite GIS Maps: will be the subject of ongoing coordination among the 14 chapters to enhance their accuracy, intuitive function and use in future research. This interactive map data base is a web-based application hosted by CEC free of charge.
