E4 Style guide.

I chose to follow the E4 style guide when creating my ancillary texts to keep the familiarity for the channel.

This worked well and meant that we could get everything exactly right.

How the products followed the style guide.

The logo is exactly the same as the one used throughout the E4 branding and throughout all of my products, This will link them all together so the audience knows it’s the same soap.

The logo appears at the bottom right hand corner of the screen . The logo is also places over both pieces of tape to make it look like it’s stuck on.

The font is also ‘American Typewriter’ which is used throughout the E4 branding, so I have used this in my final products.

Representations created through our products.Age.

The reason we aimed it at an E4 audience was because all of our cast are young and between 16-18, which fits in with out audience. If we were to aim it at an older audience we would have to have used an older cast so the audience can relate to them.

Gender.

We did aim our products at both genders, and didn’t use colours that are generally related to a certain gender. We also starred both male and female characters equally throughout. In our main trailer though, we did do a cross dressing scene to show that boundaries between males and females have been crossed.
