visual information at 108 bps

How can we exploit the knowledge we have from neuroscience to make sure our users get the right bits through for the task at hand?

We constantly deal with visual information, and the brain receive as many as 10^8 bits per second of visual input.

An incredible amount of information given that during our ongoing tasks we actually exploit a much smaller fraction of that information.

Therefore, the biological machinery that supports our sensory interactions is highly specialized to allow this compression to be as efficient as possible
