AsLGElectronicsstepsfartherontotheglobalstage,weareconfrontedwitheverintensifyingcompetition.Nowmorethanever,brandsareessentialcorporateassetsandareattheheartofsuccessfulbusinessmanagement.Therefore,itisessentialthatourbrandissetapartfromothersonthemarket,andwecanaccomplishthisbyendowingourproductswiththeuniquecharacteristicsthatourtargetusersareseeking. TheLGElectronicslogousestheLGGroupmasterbrandastheprimaryidentifierofallLGElectronicsproducts.Inallgeographicregions,emphasisandfocusshouldbeontheLGlogoinalldivisionsandonallproducts.Sub-brandlogosshouldbesignificantlyde-emphasizedinordertopromoteawarenessoftheparentbrand,LG.

ConsistentusageoftheLGlogoisabso-lutelyessential.Thelogoissymbolicofoursteadfastreputationforexcellence,andthere-fore,anyvariationofthelogodiminishesthevisualidentityofLGElectronics,itsdivisions,andproducts. Thelogoconsistsoftwoelements:theLGletterformsinLGGrayandthefacesymbolin

Ahousestyleisadistinctsystemdevelopedtocommunicateanorganization’scorephilosophies.Thesystememploysagroupofelements—signature,typography,colorimagery,andothergraphicdevices—inaspecificwaytoreflectandexpresstheorganization’suniquecharacter.Ahousestylemayalsobeastrategictoolthatsubtlyexpressesacompany’spositioning,embodiestheattributesofitspersonality,andreinforcesthepromisethecompanymakestoitscustomers.

WhiteisthemosteffectivebackgroundonwhichtoreproducetheLGLife’sGoodsigna-ture.Whiteprovidesaclear,crispcontrast. Whenthesignatureisplacedonaback-ground,theremustbesufficientcontrastbe-tweenthebackgroundcolorandthesignaturecolors.Therefore,severalcoloroptionsareavailableforsignatures.

Ifthesignatureisplacedonablackordarkbackground,theLGlogotypeandtheLife’sGoodsloganshouldreversetowhitewhiletheLGfacesymbolremainsinLGRed.Inanumberofapplications,thesignaturecanappearonLGDarkRedorLGRedeitherasafullreversetowhiteorwiththeLGfacesymbolinLGRed.

TheLGprimarycolorpaletteconsistsofthreecolors:LGRed,LGGray,andwhite.Thereisalsoapremiumcolorpalettethatconsistsofanadditionaltwocolors:LGDarkRedandLGDarkGray.Thesecanbeusedwhenfocusinguponapremiumproduct.Inspecialsituations,silverormetalliccanbesubstitutedforthelightordarkgray. Thesimplicityofthepalettebesthigh-lightsouruniquenessinacategorythatisdominatedbymultipleshadesofblue. Wheneverpossible,theLGsignature

shouldbereproducedinLGRedandLGGray,whicharetheequivalentstopantone207andpantone431.Thestandardsforthesecolorsmaybefoundinthecurrenteditionofthepantone®ColorFormulaGuide.Forcertain1colorapplications,thesignaturemaybere-producedinblackorwhite.Forprocesscolorprinting,usethecmykvaluesasabeginningreference.Printvendorsmayhavetheirownvaluesandformulasformatchingpantonecol-orsinprocesscolor,butthegoalshouldalwaysbetomatchthepantonestandardoftheLG
