Website Design and Development Proposal

SEO and Ecommerce Experts

Hello Mitchell,

Thank you for your online quote request. The following is our cost proposal to upgrade your shopping cart. After talking with you over the phone today and the information you have provided, I understand that this will be a shopping cart upgrade only. We have calculated a price of $2,395.00 for your shopping cart programming and upgrade project. Again, I feel that there is no problem is delivering this upgrade in the time that you have requested pending there aren’t any major changes from what we discussed over the phone. In the next few pages, please find more details in regards to this proposal. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns that I have not covered in this proposal, please don’t hesitate to give me a call Toll Free Number: 1-800-374-8990 or on my cell 503-983-4467. I am available most any time.

We look forward to being your web developer partner on this upgrade project and thank you for the opportunity to bid on this project.

Website Design and Development ProposalProduct Information Preparation How is your product list available? There are many ways to download your product list into your new site, but not all the ways are they best way. Importing the product into the site for the first time can be time consuming, but how much product, how it is saved and available makes a big difference on the price we will quote to you. For example, if you have 100 products and only have them saved on a list somewhere, there are two ways to enter them; One, you enter each product by hand – you save money but it is tedious work or Two, we enter each product by hand. This is very expensive for you and really a poor consumption of our time. Let’s face it, both of us would rather get your site up and running as soon as possible and entering product eats valuable time. A much better and faster way to upload your product the first time is by having it on an Excel spreadsheet for example. If you do not use Excel, no worries, we are happy to work with you on a method that works best for all of us.

Website Design and Development ProposalJust another Component to your site…Content Management SystemNow we get into the “how it works” part of your site. The Content Management System or CMS is the ability for you to add your products or add/change content on your individual pages without having HTML knowledge or depending on your web developer to make those changes and charging you an hourly cost.

The CMS we use is very user friendly, enabling you to make those changes on your own. Included in the price is training and teaching you how to use this CMS.

Give us a call and we can give you a “backend tour” or a look at a CMS area and briefly show you how easy it is to manage.

This is included in the price quoted for your website project!

Website Design and Development ProposalJust another Component to your site…Technical ComponentsThe following are the technical aspects of every site we build:•ASP/ VBScript based software comes with full source code.•No additional components needed for core functions.•Runs on IIS 4.0/5.0 and PWS with Database support for MS Access 2002, SQL Server 7.0/2000.•Built-in support for 5 of the most popular email components.•Database based cart, from start to finish.•Admin tool comes with several troubleshooting tools to help novice users track down web server configuration errors.•Separate customizable language file for the front-end of your store allows you to present the front-end to your customers in the language of your choice.

This is included in the price quoted for your website project!

So what is ASP? In regular language, ASP is a web application framework

developed and marketed by Microsoft to allow programmers to build dynamic web sites, web applications and web services.

Website Design and Development ProposalSite Design – Please know that we have taken this information from our complete web development presentation and proposal. Shopping CartThis is where your customer places the products they are purchasing, where they pay for those items, and where your payment gateway is located (behind the scenes). Our full shopping cart includes customer or member email order confirmation capability, encryption of Passwords and Credit Card numbers in the database, the client can see the shipping estimates before ordering, Shipper integration such as UPS or FedEx, your customer can come back later and pay and there is a “save cart” functionality. There is support for tax-free customers, and you can Assign additional login to the admin for staff that can't modify the store's configuration settings. Call us for a tour of the backend (admin area) of a shopping cart.

A note on payment gateways. Wikipedia states: A payment gateway is an e-commerce application service provider service that authorizes payments for e-businesses, online retailers, or traditional brick and mortar. It is the equivalent of a physical point of sale terminal located in most retail outlets. Payment gateways protect credit card details by encrypting sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, to ensure that information is passed securely between the customer and the merchant and also between merchant and the payment processor. Bottom Line. You need some way to take money online securely. We do not contract with any gateway companies but we can recommend some of the better gateway companies that we most often. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Payment_gateway

Page 7: Mitchell mortaza

Website Design and Development ProposalShopping Carts and SSL CertificatesIn order to provide a secure checkout process for your customers you will need to purchase a SSL or Secure Sockets Layer Certificate. These certificates are available from many companies online and must be purchased by you. Again, we do not contract with any SSL provider companies but we would be more than happy to recommend the companies we use most often. Once you have your payment gateway established, we are more than happy to help you set up both the payment gateway and SSL certificate.

Sample of “Document Page” not a “Product Page” but your admin area

will be very similar.

Just another Component to your site…Administration Area of your shopping cart.•Several utilities to test and troubleshoot your installation.• On-Screen help is available for most functions.• Easily manage Products, Categories, Options, Customers, Shipping, Locations, Orders and muchmore.• Upload Product Images and Software Items from your browser to your web server.• Store shipping rates are calculated by order weight and/or price. The amount charged forshipping can be calculated via fixed price or percentage. Ability to assign Free Shipping to anindividual product.• Support for UPS, USPS and Canada Post online shipping rates.• Configure sales tax per state or country (billing or shipping address).• Activate/Deactivate individual customers.

What does this mean to you? In very simple terms…you have an administration area that is very easy to use. The “Admin” area is where you have access to all areas of your website. You make changes, add, delete, etc all from this area.

This is included in the price quoted for your website project!

Testing and Implementation Making sure it all fits together – that is Testing and Implementation. After your site is complete, we run a series of “test runs” or trial purchases to make sure all components are working correctly. With custom graphics and programming, comes minor tweaks and “bug” fixes. This is also a time to make final adjustments and changes to your site. It is our guarantee to you that we will make it right before your site goes live. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

In addition, we also stand by our work. In the event that something does not work quit right in the future or stops working all together, we will fix it if we programmed or designed it, for free.

Website Design and Development ProposalTraining We provide all of our clients with the training they will require to run their new site completely on their own. Don’t misunderstand us, we are always here to provide help, support and advice, but wouldn’t you rather keep your money in your OWN pocket? Hiring web designers to constantly update your site with new content, special features, sale items, etc. can be very expensive and in this economy, we can all afford to keep more of our money right? We use a very simple and easy to use Content Management System that allows anyone to add, edit, delete, and update the site content without having to learn or know HTML – the language that sites are designed in. You’ll be amazed just how easy it is. Please contact us to set up a tour of our CMS “backend” or admin area. We are happy to show you around the working backend of a site. Later in this presentation, we will show you a sample admin area.
