Panel discussion This session will feature a panel discussion on the requirements and applications for mobile broadband in the public safety and critical communications spheres. Discussions will cover International applications with input from panel members from the Americas and also Europe, plus local agencies to give the Australian perspective. The discussions will cover areas such as: - The specialised needs of public safety agencies. - The benefits to the public and the agencies that mobile broadband can offer. - The relationship wit the commercial telecommunications carriers and the role their networks will play. - The increasingly important role that social media plays in emergency management. - Achieving interoperability between agencies and across state borders and the role that wireless broadband will play in this area.
